Dear Miss Alexander,

My office appreciates your taking time to submit the request to have more streetlights installed down
Berkley Drive. We all want Knoxville, Tennessee to be known as a safe place to rear a family. Therefore, I
understand your desire to have additional streetlights installed.

I try to read all my constituents’ letters or notes. However, I cannot always adhere to their various
requests as we are currently under tight budgetary restraints in all our departments.

Should there be any additional funds in next years budget, we will certainly consider your request for
more lighting. We would also like to install additional lighting on Maddison Street, Royal Avenue, and
Becker Court in your neighborhood.
