1. Download the latest “full base” version of the mod that is in the Google drive.
- It will be more than 1.1GB in size!
2. Download the latest fix file that is in the Google drive.
- It is only a few megabytes in size. The highest numeric value, at the end the
filename is the clue as to which one is the latest and then you can also check
the file date so there is no reason to get confused.
You only need the latest one!
3. Extract the B737-800x folder in to the XP11 > Aircraft folder
4. Extract the fix file’s contents into the B737-800x folder and overwrite the old files
when asked (MAC users will need to merge!) and then go fly!
As the mod evolved, (and still does daily!) so did the prerequisites to install and run the mod
correctly. As you will see, there is way more to the story than meets the eye.
The aim of this document is to share what I have learned while contributing to this project
and while working closely with Zibo himself.
Many thanks to Zibo, Twkster, Jorge, Jan, Jiri and Saso who have each contributed
personally, directly and indirectly to my knowledge and experience contained in this guide.
Also a special thank you to Uncle John, McTrying, Paul and Cody for your support as well as
to every real world pilot and user in the Zibo Pilot’s group who inspires me every day.
Please grab a coffee and take your time to work through this guide. There is a lot of
information to consider but the “Prerequisites” and “FAQ” sections are the most important
sections that you have to read and understand.
Best regards,
Skymatix

2.2) You need to download the latest FULL version of the Zibo mod and if there is a
“fix” file you will need that as well.
- The full version is currently called: B737-800X_3_49_full.zip
- The first fix should be called: B738X_3_49_1.zip and the next fix should be
B738X_3_49_2.zip or at least have a higher numerical number at the end.
Please check the dates if the number of the version is confusing to you. You
only need the latest fix!
2.3) If you are on MS-Windows 10, you WILL NEED Microsoft Visual C++
Redistributable 2015, 2017 & 2019 (64-bit). Get it here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-down
loads
As Google Drive was never meant to be used for the scale of data
transfer it has to cope with right now, we have added a download
option to use torrents. This way we keep it free of charge and no one
will not be affected by the Google download quota anymore!
From personal experience, I highly recommend using Google Chrome or the new
Edge, with or without Internet Download Manager to download the Zibo zip files
and then to use 7-Zip (https://www.7-zip.org/) to unzip them.
2. The contents of the B737-800x folder (see below) will be a complete Zibo Mod as
made and distributed by Zibo himself.
Files to backup:
a) b738_prefs.txt / b738_4k_prefs.txt (only backup if you are using the default XP11
camera system with predefined views and you will cry if you lose it, otherwise skip
this one)
b) b738_vrconfig.txt / b738_4k_vrconfig.txt (only backup this file if you use VR and
have modified it otherwise skip this file)
c) Clist.txt (only backup this file if you use XChecklist and are using a newer or
modified version)
d) X-Camera_b738.csv / X-Camera_b738_4k.csv (Only backup this file if you have it,
this is your xCamera presets)
e) If you have them, then save X-KeyPad_b738 and X-Keys as well
f) Realview.cfg (Only backup this file if you have it, this is your Realview presets)
g) The liveries folder - Each livery contains a cfg file that contains a portion of the
setting that you saved via the Zibo Tablet. If you do not save this you will have to
redo the affected settings.
h) X-RAAS.cfg - This is the file that contains the X-RAAS Setting specific to the Zibo
mod.
Secondly, at this time, the Autosave will only work if the Zibo mod detects a crash of
the Zibo code. In other words if XP11 did not close down correctly.
5. The procedure:
1) Make a backup of your B737-800x folder THEN
2) Delete this entire B737-800x folder located in your aircraft folder as well as all the cfg
files, in all the locations, outside of the Liveries folders.
3) Perform the installation routine from page 7 above but do not start XP11 yet!
4) Put your backup files back in place, overwriting the files that the new installation has
put in place.
5) Now you can start XP11 and start a flight with the Zibo to allow it to rebuild the
additional files and complete the installation for you.
The setting items underlined with RED are critical to have, as shown!!!
As the Zibo now has its own failure system it is recommended to have the XP11 failures
turned OFF
The settings underlined with GOLD are user preference settings and you may set them as
you wish.
If you intend to use XP11 and the Zibo for simulation purposes and not just as a game I
highly recommend using the settings shown above.
I highly recommend making a new and specific controller profile for your Zibo based aircraft
a) You need to calibrate all of the controller(s) that you will be using, in the new profile
The reason for moving all the Stability Augmentation sliders to the left is to allow the
Zibo code to do the work for us, instead of the Laminar Research code.
This is the single most important setting that will affect the Zibo mod
* Always remember that the sliders on the left is linked to your controller while the
sliders on the right is linked to the aircraft ACF file and you do not want to influence
the ZIbo acf file!
One of the most significant changes in the last few versions is the introduction of real
world configuration options to accommodate the real world airline pilots who have chosen
to make the Zibo mod their sim model of choice. Some of the settings will have no
significant meaning for ordinary simmers until they study the FCOM or other relevant
literature but the real pilots will find great value in them.
For a detailed explanation and guidance on the settings, their meaning and resulting
actions I highly recommend reading (especially if you are serious about flying this aircraft)
the EFB guide that Richard made for the mod. His page and the download link for the
guide can be found here;
https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/185598-efb-user-guide-v3459-update
d/
My settings shown or mentioned here are just to help get you going quickly ;)
Screenshots of all my tablet screens can be viewed here;
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AjcwFonqlaRWlzACfah5R_a6iKN4?e=z8RgyK
b) You need to look at your Zibo throttle levers and then set your “Throttle Noise
Lock” to a value where those levers stop shaking.
c) Also set the “A/T Engaged Lock Throttle to ON
d) Unless you use a force feedback controller set “Yoke Auto Centre” to OFF
e) If you have rudder pedals you must set “Toe Brakes” to “Differential” and
Nose Wheel steering to “YAW”
f) If you have a spare lever on a throttle or joystick and want to simulate a tiller
you must set the Nose Wheel steering to “On”
Now use the back arrow then click on “Calibration” to calibrate the Zibo mod to correctly use
your controllers…..
2. Secondly, you need to tell the mod if you use payware Navigation Data such as
Navigrap or Nav Data Pro;
This is an optional but (highly recommended) step because not all users require the
same level of accuracy in the sim and not all users subscribe to payware nav data
while some users do..
a) Start by making a 100% sure that you are using the correct DATA version.
I use Navigraph and mine is set correctly to the XP11.50+ version and it is
installed to the X-Plane 11\Custom Data folder
c) Click on “Home” on the tablet then select “Save & Load Configuration” and
then click on “Quick Save All Configs”
Operational Tips
IF the SKI Rain effect crashes XP11, the problem seems to be XP11 Installation Path
related, Try the default Desktop location or E:\X-Plane 11 (E will be your drive of choice)
Zibo recommends “Threaded Optimization = OFF” in the NVidia config, for better
Frames Per Second, if you encounter FPS issues when using the SKI effect and
ON when using his rain effect
Unless you actually use XHSI, you need to have it turned OFF in the Zibo tablet
A/T Engaged Lock Throttle as well as Throttle Noise Lock will prevent your hardware
throttle from interfering with the Zibo code.
Sound Bank errors, remove any B738 aircraft form XP11’s AI panel fixes the problem If
you have then start XP11 to clear the error
Navigational Data errors can also sometimes be resolved by deleting the B738X_apt.dat,
B738X_gate.dat & B738X_rnw.dat from the Zibo mod folder.
If the problem persists PLEASE also delete the user_nav.dat file from the XP11, Custom
Data folder and simply restart the Zibo mod. It will rebuild the databases. Then follow the
prompt on the Zibo Tablet
.DO NOT.
Do not use “Servos toggle” as command to disengage the autopilot, it will create a trim
problem in the Zibo mod
10.1) The Zibo data as per the FCOM and the Zibo Team
10.7) Sim Toolkit Pro will require the Internal ID as shown, when creating your fleet

* Please note that your link to Navigraph will periodically be diabled and then you
have to re-run the routine to link your account. This is normal and simply an
accounting function, nothing strange about it.
To install it you simply extract the plugin, in to your XP11 > Resources > Plugins
Folder.
This is what the content looks like. Be careful not to create additional folders because it will
not work if you do.
This is an interactive text and audio checklist engine that will read the clist.txt file in
the Zibo folder
You are welcome to try the one supplied with the Zibo mod but David and I also
made our own one that can be found here;
https://1drv.ms/f/s!AjcwFonqlaRWmmR6xEfcP7Rg9H74
* It is not as up-to-date as we would like, but we will update it when we have time.
* Xchecklist is installed exactly as for Terrain Radar above. Simply extract it into the
Resources plugins folder without making additional folders.
* This plugin install exactly like the others. Simply extract it in to the Resources
plugins folder without making additional folders.
After the file is installed you need to enable the facility in XP11 using the XRAAS
plugin menu to enable “Visual Alerts”
* This plugin install exactly like the others. Simply extract it in to the Resources
plugins folder without making additional folders.
WebFMC is an X-Plane 11 plugin that makes it possible to access the CDU of select
airplanes (at this moment zibo's 738 and 737-900ER Ultimate only) via any modern
web browser running on virtually any device (phone, tablet, smart TV...) in your local
network or from inside STKP
* This plugin installs exactly like the Terrain Radar one. Simply extract it into the
Resources plugins folder without making additional folders.
The Real 737 Display Mod brings improved displays for the Zibo mod B737-800
* This plugin installs into the Zibo mod folder and will need to over write zibo files. It
will not affect the copy protection BUT you have to be careful. I recommend this for
advanced users only. Support is provided by the developer via his Discord. Please do
not ask me to support this if you need help. As of V3.43.1 This mod will interfere with
the Zibo EICAS and you will have to be even more careful.
It is a new coffee texture for the cup of coffee at the left side of the cockpit right next
to the pilot. You may download it from here:

Please see the next page for the Zibo Settings to make her work properly
12.2) I move my throttle but no thrust is applied - You forgot to install Microsoft C++
2017 Redistributable or yours is broken and requires an uninstall and reinstall. Also check
your hardware, you might also have another controller intercepting the current/new
controller!!!
9.3) No Magenta Line or Duct pressure or Detected missing or unsupported files - You
could be using a livery that is either not compatible or contains assets like panels that clash
with the Zibo. Try a default livery and fix or replace your livery. Another reason your duct
pressure will not work is when you installed the mod incorrectly. Never mix versions or add
older fixes after newer fixes and DO NOT edit any config files, tampering with Zibo’s files
will kill the mod ! Please also try the 2K or 4K version, sometimes one will work.
Lastly you may try fixing this by removing the Zibo completely and do a fresh
installation as described earlier in this document as you may have corrupt files!
If the problem persists - PLEASE also delete the user_nav.dat file from the XP11,
Custom Data folder and simply restart the Zibo mod. It will rebuild the databases.
Then follow the prompt on the Zibo Tablet
12.5) No T/D calculated - You need to make sure that your cruise altitude is higher than the
Altitude restriction of the STAR’s first waypoint OR take another route that does not have the
same constraints.
12.6) My engines die after take-off - You need to configure and operate the aircraft
according to proper procedures. You probably melted the engines by running at full throttle
for too long instead of using TO/GA
12.7) The aircraft falls out of the sky - There are a few reasons;
- Ice or incorrect weather engine settings
- Extending the flaps at too high speed and losing the control surfaces
12.8) The Zibo Tablet and or Displays, displays incorrectly - You installed the xLua
plugin into the main XP11 Plugins folder. Just remove this plugin and install the Zibo mod
correctly
12.10) The Zibo nosedives after take-off - There are a few reasons;
- Script failure because you thought the developer reload was not required as
described in this guide :)
- Incorrect turnaround procedures used with the Zibo, on the second leg
- Incorrect settings used on the MCP and / or using Incorrect procedures during
take-off
12.11) The weather radar does not work - There are a few reasons;
- You enabled XHSI in the Zibo tablet
- You do not have enough water to reflect so there is nothing to show
13.1) When you select LED lights you lose two of the landing light switches and you can also
make the LED landing lights pulse. Apparently good for chasing birds away and
reducing bird strike amongst other things.
We highly recommend disabling ANY 3rd party software and plugins when troubleshooting
the Zibo. This is a normal step in the process of elimination while troubleshooting the Zibo!
13.3) The same calibration options that you saw earlier in this document is available for your
throttle as well. This is extremely useful if you have an old throttle with noise on the line
If you suffer from Auto Throttle disconnects you might want to try the A/T Engaged Lock
Throttle option on the same page.
13.5) If you struggle to connect CMD A, set AP Yoke Neutral Tolerance to simply and able
the Flight Director Helper to give you the visual queues
13.7) You can now save your flight Zibo state during flight and restore it to a specific saved
point in time. The Zibo will respawn right where you clicked the save button and you can
then check the state and continue your flight.
As of Version 3.47, the Zibo mod now supports Auto Save and option for you to recover the
flight after a system crash. The Zibo mod will auto detect the crash and at the next start up of
the mod you will have to decide if you want to restore the flight or not. See picture below;
13.9) You can enable “Hardware Throttle on EICAS” to show you the position that your
hardware throttles are in, at any given time. This will make it easy to match them to the N1
position at any given time that you want to disconnect the Auto Throttle and use them
manually. See the little triangles below.
