Introduction of the story:
Bingo is an early short story written by Tariq Rehman in mid 1970's.
It was the first work of fiction in Pakistani English literature which focused on
1971 war.
The tale revolves around the relationship between the West Pakistani narrator
Safeer and his friend Tajassur,from East Pakistan.

Tariq Rehman

Born in India
But family moved to Pakistan in 1951
Pakistani academic scholar, newspaper columnist and a writer.
Currently based in Lahore.
He is well-known academic and critic.
He is also a short story writer.
His work is on themes of human nature, culture and tradition, social classes, pride
and honor.
