Parents' Orientation About Early Childhood Development Checklist (Phil. ECD)

Lakdayan Elementary School conducted a parents' orientation on the Early Childhood Development Checklist (Phil. ECD) to guide kindergarten parents on how to properly administer the checklist during the pandemic. The orientation explained the seven domains of the checklist which assess gross motor, fine motor, self-help, expressive language, receptive language, cognitive and socio-emotional development. Lakdayan Elementary School also conducted a School Learning Action Cell with neighboring schools to improve reading, numeracy and professional development for teachers in accordance with DepEd Memorandum 160. Several teachers from the participating schools presented on topics like child development, emerging literacy games, comprehension and a demonstration teaching.
