This Field Study 2 (The Teaching - Learning Process) Portfolio has


been intentionally prepared by Prof. Maria Teresa L. Delima, Field Study
2 Facilitator, Professional Education Unit, Leyte Normal University,
Tacloban City, for her Field Study 2 classes (E210, E24, E25, E26, E27,
E28, and E29), Second Semester, School Year 2016-2017.

Activity 1
Principles of Teaching and Learning
and Lesson Objectives
Objectives:

At the end of this activity, the Field Study students are expected to:
1. identify the principles of teaching applied during the teaching-learning process;
2. identify the principles of learning applied during the teaching-learning process;
3. describe the ways of application of the principles of teaching and learning as
during the teaching-learning process;
4. deduce the lesson objective/s of the lesson observed;
5. realize the importance of a clearly defined lesson objective; and
6. reflect on the importance of the principles of teaching and learning as applied to
the teaching-learning process.

EXPOSURE

1. Visit the class assigned in your group.


2. Review the principles of teaching and learning.

Guide Questions:

1. What are the principles of teaching? Provide at least one.

Learning is an experience which occurs inside the learner and is activated

PARTICIPATION

1. Pay close attention to how the Resource Teacher delivers the lesson.
2. Pay close attention to what the learners do to learn about the lesson.
3. Take note the evidence of applications of the principles of teaching and learning.
4. Cite at least one evidence or more per principle.

Because not all times applied this principle of teaching, it is also not
always the teacher who always discussing but rather the students also ask to
participate.

IDENTIFICATION

1. Pay close attention to how the Resource Teacher delivers the lesson.
2. Pay close attention to what the learners do to learn about the lesson.
3. Take note of the lesson objective/s for the particular topic that the Resource
Teacher is teaching.
4. Take note also the evaluation given to the learners.

1. Write down what you think was/were the lesson objective/s of the Resource
Teacher.
To identify the different tungkulin ng mamamayan.

2. Ask permission from your Resource Teacher for you to copy his/her lesson
objective/s about the lesson you observed. Write the lesson objective/s here.

The evaluation exercise given to the learners was to identify ang tungkulin ng
mamamayan sa Sibika at Kultura.

Was the evaluation jives with the lesson objective/s? Why?


Yes because the objecives to identify ang bawat tungkulin ng mamamayan
with at least 85% accuracy.
