Technical specification of LT Current Transformer of ratio (a set of 4 nos.

LTCTs)

1. SCOPE

Specification covers resin cast ring type LT Current Transformers confirming to IS- or the latest version
thereof are of class 0.5 accuracy for use in conjunction with -/5A energy meters. CTs will be design for
indoor use to install in the metering box.

2. APPLICABLE STANDARDS:

LT CTs will comply with the Indian Standard Specification IS: 16227 and the latest version thereof.

3. TYPE AND RATING OF L.T.CURRENT TRANSFORMERS:

LT CTs will be of the following type and ratings:

5. Primary & secondary Terminals
i. Primary Primary Conductor (Cable/ Bus Bar) will pass
through Ring type CT. Proper marking will be
provided for current direction identification.
ii. Secondary terminal Secondary Terminals S1 & S2 will be clearly
marked.

4. RATING PLATE:
Each C.T. would have self adhesive, laminated, printed label having following details:
(i) Manufacturer's name
(ii) Manufacturing month & year
(iii) Ratio
(iv) VA burden
(v) Type of C.T. & serial no.
(vi) Line Voltage, frequency
(vii) Insulation level
(viii) Property of XXXX ( To be confirm along with PO )
