WEB BROWSER

A web browser is an interface that helps a computer user


gain access to all the content that is on the Internet and the
hard disk of the computer. It can view images, text,
documents, audio and video files, games, etc. More than
one web browser can also be installed on a single
computer.
TYPES OF WEB BROWSER

GOOGLE CHROME

This web browser is


developed by Google and it’s
beta version was first released
on September 2, 2008 for
Microsoft Windows. Today,
Chrome is known to be one of
the most popular web browser
with its global share of more
than 50%.

FIRE FOX

Fire fox is a new browser derived


from mozilla. It was released in
2004nand has grown to be the
second most popular browser on
the internet.

SAFARI
Safari is a web browser developed by Apple Inc. And
included in Mac OS X. It was first released as a public beta
in January 2003. Safari has a very good support for latest
technologies like XHTML and CSS2

OPERA
Opera is smaller and faster than
most other browsers, yet it is full-
featured. Fast, user-friendly, with
keyboard interface, multiple
windows, zoom functions, and
more.

INTERNET EXPLORER
IE is a product from software giant
Microsoft. This is the most
commonly used browser in every
country. This was introduced in
1995 along with Windows 95
launch and it has passed Netscape
popularity in 1998.

COMPUTER

SUPER COMPUTER
Are the fastest and the most expensive computers. These
huge expensive computers areused to solvevery complex
science and engineering problems. Supercomputers get their
processing power by taking advantage of parallel processing;
they use lots of CPU’s at the same time on one problem. A
typhical supercomputer can do up to ten trillion individual
calculations every second.

MAINFRAME
A pair of IBM mainframes
computers are similar to
supercomputers in many
aspects, the main difference
between them is the fact that
a supercomputer use all it’s
raw power to focus on very
few tasks on very few tasks,
while mainframe purpose is to perform thousands or millions
of operations concurrently.

SERVER COMPUTER

central computer that
contains collections of
data and programs.
Also called a network
server, this system allows all connected users to share and
store electronic data and applications. Two important types
of servers are file servers and apllication servers.

MICROCONTROLLER

An Arduino a
common programmable
microcotroller. This are
the mini computers that
enable the user to store
data and execute simple
commands and tasks.
These single cicuit
devices have minimal
memory and program lenght, but are normally designed to
be very good at performing a niche task.
PERSONAL COMPUTER

A PC is an abbrevation for a
personal Computer, It is
also known as a
Microcomputer. It’s
physical characteristics and
low cost are appealing and
useful for it’s users. The
capabilities of a personal
computer have changed
greatly since the introduction of electronic computers.

WORKSTATION COMPUTER

It is high-end, expensive
computers that are made for
more complex procedures and
are intended for one user at a
time.Some of the complex
procedures consits of science,
math and engineering
calculations and are useful for
computer design and
manufacturing.Workstations are
sometimes improperly named for marketing reasons.
