HOMEWORK # 2

1.- WRITE A PARAGRAPH ANSWERING TO THE QUESTION: What’s your ideal


partner like? Write here on Moodle (ONLINE TEXT). You have to use AT
LEAST 5 of the adjectives (created by adding the SUFFIXES) studied in this
lesson (60 WORDS):
My ideal partner must be a man with determination and determination, because
that way he would know what he really wants for his life. It should even be
effective in the things that you do more if it is for your personal growth, also be
conventional so that we can agree with the decisions that are made. My ideal
partner must be reasonable in order to understand future situations, but above
all, they must be very cheerful.
2.- WRITE A SUMMARY/SYNTHESIS FROM THIS READING (click on the link
below).  You're not supposed to narrate your personal opinion about the
reading, but rather narrate the most important ideas of the text in a brief
way. COPYING AND PASTING parts of the reading and putting them together
is not a SUMMARY, therefore, that's not going to be accepted!
The famous story of Romeo and Juliet was written in the 16th century, the first
film version of the letter arrives in 1930. Writers such as Giovanna Tamassia,
Elena Marchi and Gioia Ambrossi tell stories that are in turn moving and rare.
These people are also in charge of receiving more than 5,000 letters a year.
3.- WRITE A 60 word paragraph answering the question: WHAT'S THE
SECRET OF SUCCESS?  You have to use the linkers to express PURPOSE and
CONTRAST studied in this lesson.  Besides that, you have to COHERENTLY use
at least 8 of these phrasal verbs:
Success is achieved by having long-term objectives and vision to achieve a goal,
which allows for personal and professional growth. Success involves discovering
new challenges and opportunities, that is, stopping doing something that bothers
us to start proposing new challenges. Also convince yourself and others that you
can cross to meet new horizons, and reject all the negative that does not lead to
anything good. Success is more than anything to endure being constant and
persevering, giving in to any situation that leads us to absolute success.
4.- Answer to these questions (WRITING YOUR ANSWERS IN THE ONLINE TEXT):
a.- What’s your favorite movie genre and why?
My favorite film genre is horror, suspense, scary movies. I like everything that has
to do with action and zombies, because I like to feel that suspense and it makes me
believe and imagine that zombies are after me.
b.- What’s your favorite movie and why?
My favorite movie is called The Pursuit of Happiness, I like it a lot and I would
watch it as many times as necessary because it is a movie with a lot of reflection on
life. And above all, it shows us the effort a father makes to give his son a good
lifestyle.
c.- Would you recommend to watch this movie? TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION USE
THE VOCABULARY STUDIED IN THIS LESSON:
Yes, I would recommend this movie because it shows that the main character has a
lot of ambition to improve himself, he lives several terrible scenarios while trying
to have a decent job to survive. What leads him to trust himself and never lose
faith, in short, this movie gives an excellent life lesson.
d.- Describe your favorite movie using the studied structure for doing so:
The film takes place at the moment in which the wife of the main character leaves
the good, leaving her son as well, because she says that he will never be able to
give her a life. The characters of the cast show a woman disappointed in her
husband, a man who does everything possible to give his family a better quality of
life and has several setbacks that do not allow it, and a son who realices that his
mother He left and is very sad but at the same time he encourages his father not to
give up and in spite of everything in the end he sees his father succeed. The plot it
shows is a very interesting and beautiful story that allows us to reflect on how
oneself can achieve one’s goals.
