INTRODUCTION NSP is a web based application that provides single stop solution for endto-end scholarship process right from submission of student application, verification, sanction and disbursal to end beneficiary for different types scholarships provided by the various Ministries/Department of Government of India. Standardized, Simple and Single Form for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Schemes Interactive portal- help student to identify suitable scholarship offerings INSTITUTE SIDE Institutes have to appoint an INO ie. Institute Nodal Officer INO has to create profile and submit KYC for the institute over the NSP portal using AISHE/ DISE/ NCVT/ SCVT code. Aadhar card details of INO and the Institute Head have to be used for this. All the courses running in school along with the fee structure has to be uploaded. Fee structure to be categorized into: Admission Fee, Tuition fee and Miscellaneous fee. When students submit application for scholarship, INO has to check the student details, update fee details as per the class and course and verify the students application. APPLICANT’S SIDE Student has to register himself/herself on the portal using aadhar card and a mobile number. All the available scholarship schemes will be visible on the portal. After registering once, the student can login multiple times and complete the application form for a particular scheme. The applicant will have to select the institute which can be done only when the institute KYC is done by the INO. All details except for registration details will be available to update before the final submission of application. Depending on the scholarship scheme the student will have to upload relevant documents. APPLICANT’S SIDE For Pre-Metric scholarships the bank details of Parent has to be updated. (In some cases a joint account of parent and child may be asked for) For Post-Metric scholarship schemes the bank details of applicant has to be updated on the portal. The bank account must be linked with aadhar card and the KYC of bank must be completed before proceeding for the scholarship. It is a detailed form containing different entries based on the scholarship scheme being availed for. INO cannot update any entry of the applicant except for the fee details. Applicants have to strictly adhere to the timeline for application process. VERIFICATION PROCESS Once the details are filled in by applicant and verified by Institute (INO) it goes to the district and state level nodal officers for further verification. The application may be accepted or rejected depending on the documents submitted. In case of a fake application the institute will be marked as black-listed.
