Introduction:-
1.Background
The existed system is in that hotel is manual working. Using this many problems can
occur, for this system they used some bill books. That time any customer came for
enquiry or reservation they need to check every reservation in the book, that is surly
time wasting process. Also the man who is searching also important, some times he
may do some problems in the process. The same problems in restaurant also possible,
in the billing time wasting are possible to occur. Some drawbacks of this existed system
are

• Time required to do manual work


• Calculation is difficult
• Security is low
• Searching is difficult
• Data entry is difficult

2.Overall Description
In order to escape from the disadvantages mentioned in the existing system, the system
need to computerize. In the computer system we can over come these problems. In this
system we can eliminate time wasting process. The searching is very easy to do
compare to the manual work. Also the calculations is very is to do. Data entry is easier
than the manual.

OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT


As the title of the project suggests, the objective of this software is to automate all the
data storage and manipulation procedure for a Hotel. Some of the features of this
software would be
• The features include:
1. Storing, editing and reporting details of all the rooms available in the hotel.
2. Managing details of customers’ signing in & out of the hotel.
3. Generating Reports.

• Processor: 1.6 GHZ or Above.
• Motherboard: 845 or Above.
• RAM: 512 Mb or Above.
• Memory: 15 Mb Free space to install.

Functional Requirement
• Introduction : This software shows only the description of the hotel management
and about the Hotel.
• Check in : This module shows the detail of the customer who check in the Hotel.
In this there are some options which is used to gather information about
customer.
• Room no.
• Name.
• No. of guests.
• Address.
• Phone.
• Nationality.
• Passport no.
• Advance.
• Miscellineous.
• Room service.
• Check out : By using this modules we generate the bill of particular customer
who stay in a particular room. It shows all the details of the bill such as no. of
days he/she stay in a Hotel according this.
• Customer record : It shows the customer details who stayed in a particular room.

• Room record : It only shows the record of room by room no in this we can
analyze the:
• Room code.
• Room no.
• Status.
• Tariff.
• Edit : In this module we edit all the records such as :
• Room recdord.
• Customer record.
When we edit a room record module there are no. of some modules.
• Add room record : In a add room records add room.
• Modify room record : In this module we can update existing detail of a
particular room.
• Delete room record : In this module we can delete the existing detail of a
particular room.
• Edit customer :
• Modify customer records : In this module we can update existing detail of a
particular customer by it’s room no.
• Delete customer records : In this module we can delete existing of a
particular customer by it’s room no.
• Report : In this module room we can generate the list of rooms and customers.
• List of room : By this module we can analyse all the rooms.We can see all the
details of all room in a Hotal.We can also analyse which all room is vacant and
which is occupide.
• List of customers : In this module we can analyse all the custumer in a Hotal.We
can their name , where they stayed(room no) ,their phone no.and their tariff.
Non functional requirement
• Security: The management should provide password to logon to the
system.
• Reliability:Reliability can be guaranted
• Maintainability : . There should be a facility to add or delete rooms for
every years.
• Accuracy of the result : Accuracy of the result is accurate because we
generate a report a report for each and every room as well as customer.

Behavioral description
• System states.
• Events and actions.
Conclusion
This application fits into the current scenario, which is the information age. Modern
hotels, to increase their efficiency can use this application with some modifications as
per their customized needs.
