MODULE 2: UNDERSTANDING THE LEARNING DELIVERY MODALITIES IN THE


BASIC EDUCATION LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN

Lesson 1: Overview of the Learning Modalities


Activity- Define each Modality in your own words:
1. Face-to-Face ( F2F)
 It is a traditional type of learning instruction where the teachers and students are
holding their teaching-learning process inside the four corner of the
classroom..There is an interactive facilitation of the lesson. Tests are given
outright.

2. Modular Distance Learning


 It is a self-learning modules (SLM’s) or any learning materials in point or in
digital format/electronic copy that students can do the self-faced learning
activities with paper worksheets
.
3. Blended Learning
 Learning instruction which aims to accommodate students who have variable
means to the on online mode of learning and can be done with Face-to-Face and
Modular Distance Learning

4. Homes schooling
 Is the education of children/students at home or at a variety of places other than
school. Home education is usually conducted by a parent, tutor, or online teacher

RANKING Type of Distance Learning WHY?


1 Modular Distance learning This type of distance learning is suited to our
school/locality:
 No internet and mobile phone signal access
 Students have no available mobile/android
phones, desktop and laptops
 The parents and barangay officials are willing
to help the school and students for this type of
distance learning
 Students can use LMs, activity sheets,
textbooks, etc.
2 Blended Distance Learning With the combination of modular and face-to-face
learning the students have understanding and
recollection of lesson content and gives class member
a chance to bond with one another
3 Radio/TV Based Instruction If television and radio signal is possible in our school
and community, this type of distance learning is
advantageous to the students and parents especially to
those students living in a far flung and coastal areas
4 Online Distance Learning This type of distance learning is the least priority in
our school and community internet and mobile phone
signal is very poor or no signal

Targeted Interventions for Learners with special concerns

Learner Group Targeted Intervention

Learners without parents or household Organize a para- teachers in the locality (with the help of
members who can guide and support their the LGU) that will help and guide the students on their
learnings at home . learnings while they have home schooling
Parents or guardian should encourage their students to
practice reading at home and the teachers or school provide
them with the different reading materials suited to their
Struggling Readers (G&-G12 Learners) reading level

If allowed, a schedule for face-to-Face instruction as the


follow-up by the teacher at least 1 or 2 times a week
Utilized Self Learning Modules (SLMs), activity sheets,
No access to devices and internet modules, reference materials, textbooks and other learning
and study materials
