Delivered equipment/material shall be free of damage and shall
conform to all applicable requirements, including contractor's

inspection release, when applicable, with verified material test
reports (MTR)
Receipt handling, lifting, unloading and transport shall be

performed in accordance with manufacturer procedures.

Joining kits (adhesive bonds, lubricants, etc.) shall be inspected for


A3 conformance to the manufacturer installation manual and the
Engineering Design, and for evidence of damage or tempering.
The ends shall be checked for missing or broken end protectors. All
threads should be protected with thread protectors. The
manufacturer shall apply external and internal closed end thread
A4 protectors to protect the ends and all exposed threads of the pipe,
coupling, and fitting from damage under normal handling and
transportation. Pipe and fittings shall be sealed and protected with
plastic end caps.

Manufacturers shall apply flange face protectors to all flange faces

in accordance with standard industry practice.

All pipe and fittings shall be inspected for conformance to the

Purchase Order specification requirements.

As a minimum, the label shall confirm the pipe manufacturer, size,


material, and pressure rating and product code for each pipe and

fitting shall be verified to be traceable to the material certificate
prior to installation.
Pipes and fittings shall be inspected for evidence of damage or
A8 distortion.(See Appendix A –Visual Inspection Acceptance Criteria -
SAES-L-650)

Pipe edges shall be coated with resin and inspected to be smooth,

not prone to cutting skin on contact.

Threads type and size shall be inspected to be in accordance with

API 15HR.

Pipes and fittings which do not pass receipt inspection, shall be

marked and quarantined pending disposition.
Pipe and fittings shall be examined for evidence of

blisters,burns,cracks,chemical attack and surface resin.
Pipe and fittings shall be examined for evidence of loose fibers or

excessive UV-induced fiber blooming.
