Sacrament of the Sick
Father Rick Kelly, former pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish in Ottawa will facilitate our Parish Mission.
As well as the evening talks he will host an afternoon service for our sick and shut-ins. On Monday
afternoon there will be a celebration at Bonnechere Manor. On Tuesday afternoon here at the
church he will celebrate Mass and the Sacrament of the Sick. This will be a special opportunity for
us to reach out to our parishioners. Many bring communion to people at home. This will
be an opportunity to hopefully, bring them to church. If you know someone who would
appreciate being here and needs transportation, please call the office. If you are willing to
transport people please let the office know of your willingness.
After each of Father’s presentations we will gather to enjoy each other’s company. If you could
assist on one of these occasions with our social please call the office.

Lord, God, the provider of all our needs, we, your faithful people, ask that you bless this parish
and our Diocese with an increase of men and women for priestly and committed ministry.

REMINDER: Food donation and volunteer sheets for the Parish Supper are to be filled in and returned to the
Parish by Sunday, May 15th – this weekend. The more sheets the convenors receive, the less phone calls they
will have to make! If you did not get a sheet, there are extras at the entrances to the church.

To date over 1900 books have been distributed and some monies returned. Thank you for your
tremendous ongoing support!! We are requesting that all outstanding tickets, sold or unsold, be
returned via the collection baskets or the church office by May 29 th . This gives us two weeks before
the draw to sell any that are left. For more tickets or information please call...

BABY BOTTLE FUNDRAISER
Please fill the baby bottle with any spare change you have! In aid of S.F.X.
The money collected in these bottles will be used to support many programs Parish Hall
offered through Young Parent Support Program. Roof Fund
at 7 p.m.
These unique programs, offered throughout Renfrew County, Church Hall
supporting young families, ages 15-24 and their children ages 0-6 years.

S. F. X. PARISH BURSARY: The annual recipient of a bursary presented to a


high school student who is going on to further their education is chosen by
the Pastoral Council at their June meeting. A student from either high
school in Renfrew may apply by picking up the necessary paperwork from the
parish office. Applications must be returned to the office by June 7th.
