COURSE INFORMATION
Course Number Math 4A Course Title Applied Industrial Mathematics Credit Units 3

Applied Industrial Mathematics includes: Progressions, Work Problems, Age Problems, Mixture Problems, Motion Problems, Permutation,
Course Description Combination, Probability, Percentage Problems and Linear Programming. This course also will deepen and further extend their understanding
about mathematical problems. It will also guide the students the proper techniques in solving word problems. This course will also enhance
the analytic skills and investigation skills of the students.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology program aims to:


1. Produce competent, adaptive and flexible graduates with good communication skills and high moral values to meet the industry employment standard in
the world of works.
2. Assist the government to accelerate financial resources through the contribution of the army of graduates who will eventually become workers in business
and industry.
3. Equip graduates with specialized technical competencies across fields of industrial technology towards occupational opportunities, entrepreneurial
capabilities and/or supervisory and managerial positions.
4. Have the basic and higher level literacy, communications, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning.

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology program aims to:


1. Develop competent Industrial Technology graduates guided by the principles and procedures of computer and electronics technology shop training and
repair works.
2. Provides students with knowledge and skills in computer and electronics troubleshooting and repair, system servicing and computer networking.
3. Produce competent graduates who are familiar, skillful and updated with hardware and software installation, operation and maintenance of computer and
electronic systems and equipment used in mechanical design and construction technology.
4. Acquire functional knowledge and life-long work skills and positive attitude in the hands-on coursework and real-world opportunities.
5. Produce quality computer technologists and electronic technicians who are inspired to work productively with high work morale.
6. Equip graduates with knowledge, skills and good attitude in their respective fields of specialization.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND CLASS POLICY
A. Attendance : Students are giving corresponding points by coming on time and increased his/her points as he/she
takes part in the class discussion, likewise, tardiness will be dealt with point deductions. This will be taken as the
class standing.
B. Class preparations: Students are expected to read and understand about the topic/lesson before coming to class
COURSE REQUIREMENTS to actively participate in the discussion. They are also encouraged to share actual work related experiences in class
to further enrich in the learning experiences.
C. Course Evaluation: A summative of the course content and its relevance to the student’s field of work. This must
be submitted at the end of the term.
D. Major Examination: Prelim, Midterm, Semi-final and final examination.

CLASS POLICY Cellular phones and other gadgets are not allowed. Attendance is checked every meeting.
