Strengths, Interests, Values Reflection

Part 1: AchieveWorks Personality


Complete the Personality survey in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions below.
1. What is your personality type? -My personality type is INFJ. This stands for Introversion,
intuition, feeling, and judging.
2. What does each aspect of your personality mean about you?- Each aspect means
something different about me. I am mostly introverted, with strong intuition, feelings, and
structure.
3. List two strengths indicated on your report. Give an example from your life that
demonstrates that these qualities are strengths.
-self-directed study
-creative
An example from my life involving these qualities is, I tend to like to work in a self directed
environment, this helps me to best get my work done and allows me to be independent. An
example showing my creativity would be how I’m able to create art and navigate well
through creative projects and outlets.

What qualities should a career have in order to satisfy your particular personality?
To satisfy my particular personality, some qualities my future career must include are the
following; Allowance of individualized work, control over projects, and creative freedom. It
is important for me to navigate myself rather than following strict guidelines or directions.

4. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
I can use this information to narrow down my job choices. I would rule our career paths
with high structure and lack of creative freedom.
Part 2: AchieveWorks Intelligences
Complete the Intelligences survey in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions below.
5. What are your top three intelligences?
My top three intelligences include music, naturalist, existential
6. What do these intelligences mean about you?
These intelligences mean I excel at tasks involving music, environment, and personal
relationships. I’m best suited in careers that allow me to use these qualities.
7. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
I can use this information to make an informed career choice by researching jobs that allow
me to incorporate these intelligences into the workplace. I will stray away from jobs that
aren’t centered towards self expression.

Part 3: Career Interests Profiler


Complete the Career Interests Profiler in Naviance. Use your report to answer the questions
below.
8. What are your strongest interests?
My strongest interests included social, artistic, enterprising, investigate
9. What do these interests mean about you?
These interests mean that I like to help people. I am also creative and artistic, allowing for
interaction and expression. Lastly, I tend to be very persuasive.
10. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
I can work in an environment allowing me to be sociable with others and creative. One of my
interests involves persuasive strengths so I could potentially be good with sales.

Part 4: Work Values


Go to www.onetonline.org. Under “Advanced Search”, select “Work Values”. Review the
description of each work value. Select three work values that are most important to you.

My top three work values include independence, working conditions, support
12. What do these work values mean about you?
These work values mean that I like to be an independent worker. I appreciate having good
work conditions and comfortability. I also thrive in supportive climates.
13. How can you use this information to make an informed career choice?
I will search for a career with a clean, safe working environment. I will also be looking for
kind, supportive staff members.

Part 5: Career Results Comparison


Review the career lists provided at the end of each survey. Identify three careers that are similar across
the lists. List the careers and explain why each career may be satisfying to you citing evidence from your
survey results.

counsellor, childcare worker, artist

These careers would be well suited to me because my personality and intelligence surveys showed I am a
sociable person and work well with others and others needs, these are good qualities for a counselor or
childcare worker. I am also very creative and artistic which would assist in being an artist, and childcare
worker as well.
