Imerit Workshop Report: Karan Kumar 4AL20AI019 Aiml

The document discusses artificial intelligence and machine learning. It provides definitions of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the different types of machine learning including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. It then discusses applications of artificial intelligence such as manufacturing robots, autonomous vehicles, smart assistants, and disease mapping. Computer vision is discussed as a field of artificial intelligence that enables computers to derive meaningful information from visual inputs. Examples of using computer vision for defect detection, assembly verification, and character recognition are provided. IMERIT WORKSHOP REPORT

KARAN KUMAR
4AL20AI019
AIML
Introduction

iMerit unites the technologies, processes and people that, together,

deliver accurate and nuanced annotations that companies depend on
to get to production. Our data annotation fuels your journey from
exploratory R&D to proof of concept to mission-critical,
production-ready solutions. We recognize that your data training
process is iterative and evolving and we are always as agile and
flexible as you need us to be.

Machine Learning
● Machine Learning is the process of teaching a computer system how to make
accurate predictions of what is fed data.
● It is a subset of AI.
● Types of Machine Learning:-
1. SUPERVISED LEARNING
2. UNSUPERVISED LEARNING
3. REINFORCEMENT LEARNING

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

2
● Artificial intelligence (AI) is a wide-ranging branch of computer science
concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks
that typically require human intelligence.
● In Computer science, artificial Intelligence, sometimes called MACHINE
INTELLIGENCE, is intelligence by machines.
● It is the simulation of natural intelligence in machines that are
programmed to learn and mimic the actions of humans. These
machines are able to learn with experience and perform human-like
tasks

HOW DOES AI WORK?

● AI uses machine learning to mimic human intelligence. The computer
has to learn to respond to certain actions. So,it uses algorithms and
historical data to create something called a propensity model.
● Propensity model will then start making predictions like scoring leads
or something.
● AI can do much more than this, but those are common uses and
functionality for marketing. And when it might seem like the machine is
ready to rise up at take over. Humans are still needed to do much of
the work.

AI EXAMPLES

● Manufacturing Robots
● Autonomous vehicles
● Smart Assistants
● Pro active health care management
● Disease Mapping
● Automated financial Investing
● Virtual travel booking agent

3
● Social media monitoring
● Inter-team chat tool
● Conversational marketing tool
● Natural Language Processing(NLP) tool

COMPUTER VISION
● Computer vision is a field of artificial intelligence (AI) that enables computers
and systems to derive meaningful information from digital images, videos
and other visual inputs — and take actions or make recommendations based
on that information. If AI enables computers to think, computer vision
enables them to see, observe and understand.

APPLICATIONS OF COMPUTER VISION

● Computer Vision for Defect detection.

● Computer Vision for Metrology.
● Computer Vision for Intruder Detection.
● Computer Vision for Assembly verification.
● Computer Vision for Screen reader.
● Computer Vision for Code and character reader (OCR)
● Computer Vision + robotics for bin picking.

AI IN AGRICULTURE

● Agricultural Robots
● Drones
● Crop/soil Health monitor
● Protective analysis

Blue River Technology

● Diagnose disease
● Develops drugs faster
● Personalize treatment
