    44th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited

    Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) one of the leading company of India. Started from

    textile and polyester company it has now made its own brand in different platforms from

    production of oil to Telecommunication [ CITATION Hoo21 \l 1033 ]. Serving around 300

    million customers the company has become one of the largest private sector company with motto

    of “Growth is Life”[ CITATION Hoo21 \l 1033 ]. June 24, 2021 was the day for 44th Annual

    General Meeting for RIL which was conducted virtually and the meeting was addressed by Mr.

    Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani chairperson of RIL, Isha and Aakash Ambani Directors of RIL, Nita

    Ambani founder Chairperson of Reliance Foundation [ CITATION The21 \l 1033 ]. As it was

    the AGM of the company all the speakers addressed about how company is growing, how they

    are helping their employees to fight with COVID-19 case and the steps company is taking to help

    its employees and citizens of India. In the meeting Mukesh also states that the main spirit of the

    reliance was to care employees, their families, community, country, shareholders, customers,

    finally planet and the people. [ CITATION The21 \l 1033 ]. COVID-19 seemed to be the focus

    point for Nita,Isha and Aakash Ambani. Nita Ambani also stated none of the employees were left

    unaddressed during lockdown periods, they were paid with their full salaries and medical

    expenses paid by the company[ CITATION The21 \l 1033 ]. Those who lost life during covid,

    company will pay the salary to their families for coming 5 years, financing children of victim for

    education till graduation and continue their medical insurance which seemed to be a great effort

    by the company[ CITATION The21 \l 1033 ]. Despite the harsh condition company was able to

    make net profit for the year 53,739 crore, higher by 34.8% compared to the previous

    year[ CITATION The21 \l 1033 ].


    The event was AGM of one of the biggest company in India. In order to achieve the place

    the leader of the company must be very calm, gentle and hard working. A leader must practice

    different type of leadership techniques in order to lead the level of company they are on to at the

    moment. From the Newspaper article it can be seen that Ambani family who are regarded as the

    owner of RIL practices encourage the heart and inspire a shared vision techniques as described

    by Kouzes and Posner. When Nita Ambani talked about covid -19 and the steps that were taken

    by the companies we could clearly see how those decision from a company was made which

    would in turn encourage heart of every employee to work properly for the organization for all

    what it is doing for them in the hard time of life. Vaccination campaign and their effort to get all

    the citizen of India to get vaccinated by the end of the year in the conference can easily make any

    one to work with the company to share a common vision or goal and achieve the target. Despite

    lockdown and hard market condition company was able to make 34.8 percentage more profit

    than previous year which will help company to make other trust the company and work for the

    company which is one of the exemplary leadership technique as described by Kouzes and

    Posner.

    Relating it to the current work situation in my context me and my colleague, we are

    trying our best to make the growth in our organization compared to every year passing by. He

    always encourage my heart to work for the company by giving us several chances to grow my

    skills over the work which I am comfortable with. Letting me to deal with some challenging

    situation and praising the work though some error occur help me to think positive towards the

    company.
