Introduction on the NICA project: Zebo Tang (唐泽波)

The document provides an introduction and overview of the NICA project at JINR in Dubna, Russia. Key points include: - NICA will collide heavy ions up to Au+Au at √sNN = 4-11 GeV and protons/deuterons at √sNN = 12-26 GeV. It will also provide fixed target beams. - The accelerator complex is under construction and includes the Nuclotron, booster, and collider rings. Superconducting magnet production has started. - The Multi-Purpose Detector experiment will study QCD matter, searching for the critical point and onset of deconfinement. Its design includes a TPC, time-of-
