    || śrīsūrya stutiḥ - śāmba purāṇam ||

    Sri Surya Stuti – Lord Brahma - Shamba Puranam

    The following is a rare hymn on Lord Surya by Lord Brahma from Shamb Puranam and
    Chapter 13 as told to sages. Lord Brahma mentions that one who worships Lord Surya, who
    is worshipped by all Devas including Lord Brahma, gets absolved of all sins and reaches the
    abode of Lord Surya.

    brahmovāca -
    ādidevo'si-devānāṁ aiśvaryācca tvamīdṛśaḥ |
    ādikartā'si-bhūtānāṁ devadevo divākaraḥ || 1 ||
    jīvanaḥ-sarva-sattvānāṁ deva gandharva rākṣasām |
    muni kinnara siddhānāṁ tathaivoraga-pakṣiṇām || 2 ||
    tvaṁ-brahmā tvaṁ-mahādevas tvaṁ-viṣṇus tvaṁ-prajāpatiḥ |
    vāyur-indraśca somaśca vivasvān varuṇas tathā || 3 ||
    tvaṁ-kālaḥ sṛṣṭi-kartā ca hartā bhartā prabhus tathā |
    saritaḥ sāgarāḥ śailāḥ vidyud indradhanūṁṣi ca || 4 ||
    pralayaḥ prabhavaś caiva vyaktā 'vyaktaḥ sanātanaḥ |
    īśvarāt-parato-vidyā vidyāyāyāḥ-parataḥ-śivaḥ || 5 ||
    śivāt-parataro-devas tvameva parameśvaraḥ |
    sarvataḥ pāṇi-pādāntaḥ sarvato'kṣi śiro mukhaḥ || 6 ||
    sarvataḥ śrutimāṁlloke sarvamāvṛtya tiṣṭhati |
    sahasrāṁśuḥ sahasrākṣaḥ sahasra varaṇekṣaṇaḥ || 7 ||
    bhūtādir bhūrbhuvaḥ svaśca mahaḥ satyaṁ tapo janaḥ |
    pradīptaṁ dīpanaṁ divyaṁ sarva-loka-prakāśanam || 8 ||
    durnirīkṣyaṁ surendrāṇāṁ yadrūpaṁ tasya te namaḥ |
    sura-siddha-gaṇair juṣṭaṁ bhṛgvatri-pulahādibhiḥ || 9 ||
    stutaṁ paramaṁ avyaktaṁ yadrūpaṁ tasya te namaḥ |
    vedyaṁ vedavidāṁ nityaṁ sarva-jñāna-samanvitam || 10 ||
    sarva-devātidevasya yadrūpaṁ tasya te namaḥ |
    viśvakṛd viśvabhūtiśca vaiśvānara surārcitam || 11 ||
    viśva-sthitaṁ acintyaṁ ca yadrūpaṁ tasya te namaḥ |
    paraṁ-vedāt paraṁ-yajñāt paraṁ-lokāt paraṁ-divam || 12 ||
    paramātmeti vikhyātaṁ yadrūpaṁ tasya te namaḥ |
    avijñeyaṁ anāllaṅghyaṁ adhyātma-gati cā'vyayam || 13 ||
    anādi-nidhanaṁ caiva yadrūpaṁ tasya te namaḥ || 14 ||

    namo-namaḥ-sarva-sukha-pradāya namo-namaḥ-sarva-mati-pradāya || 16 ||
