Toussaint Louverture was a Haitian general and the biggest leader of the Hatian
Revolution. He fought against the french, then FOR the french, and against France again
for the Haitian independence. He allowed both females and males to own land.He also
imposed tax on fresh forces, and raised the reputation of the army.He used a lot of
control and violence within his own military,He also was enraged that when he passed
through the rebel zone he ordered regiments on parade and summoned certain men to
blow their brains out, and lastly he burned and cut down the use of sugar plantations
when there was that big war against Haiti and France..Overall, Toussaint was a hero
because he wanted to make a wide and multiracial community and society in the French
empire, but ended up creating a wide and big black american empire.
