Operating systems are in use everywhere in our society:

 Discuss some tools you use to protect your own files and directories
 Discuss the weeks activities and your observations

Believe it or not, I do not use any type of anti-virus or anything to protect my file system. I use is
Windows and it offers some great tools to help prevent attacks. It has a built in fire wall and anti-virus
called “Windows Defender”; I do not know how effective those tools are, but I do not use any other
commercial software to protect my system. However, a couple of tool that I regularly use are knowledge
and common sense. I usually know what I’m doing and what I’m messing with, but when something
happens, I reset my system and sensitive files are always stored in the cloud.

This unit’s activities were a bit confusing. I was able to do the assignments because I was able to
research online. As for the reading assignment, part of the content was not accessible. It would be good
if the people from UoPeople responsible for this reviewed this issue.
