ASSESSMENT METHOD HOW TO ADAPT ASSESSMENT
METHOD IN DL
I already started doing this kind of assessment. In our grade
level, we teachers in grade 10 Science make 15-item quiz for
Unit test and Summative test each modules (Module 1-5 ) for the 1st quarter. This set-up of
giving quiz and test will be carried through until the end of the
school year.
Send a printed copy of the instruction of how the reflective
module will be done (they will going to make a self-reflection
Self-reflective journal every module on how they get along on the learning modules in
Science like their feeling in answering the module and the
difficulties that they have meet on doing the tasks on the SLM.
The students will be task to make a pamphlet about a certain
Pamphlet making topic. They will do it on a paper folder cut in half. Instruction will
be send through printed copy, text or chat.
Questions:
1. What assessment methods are common among the group members?
Answer: Summative assessment
2. What are the challenges in doing assessment in DL? Answer: The limitation and restriction of
direct contact of teacher and learner.
3. Despite the challenges, what opportunities can you and your colleagues explore to make
assessment doable in DL?
Answer: Coordination and collaboration with the parents and guardian who can be
a mediating factor of teacher-student relationship and finding means to contact the students
using the technologies available like text messages, messenger and email.
