Time Works Reverb X

This document provides an overview of the Timeworks ReverbX plugin, which offers digital reverberation effects. It describes the plugin's user interface, including controls for input level, delay, decay, damping, room size, diffusion and other parameters. It explains that the plugin contains 8 main reverb algorithms that can be selected, each with unique parameters and CPU requirements. It also notes that the plugin contains EQ and filter parameters on a second page for each algorithm. The document concludes by describing the preset system for saving and loading presets between applications.

The "Front' panel of ReverbX is fairly self-explanatory. Input level and common parameters such as delay, decay, damping, room size,
diffusion, etc. are accessable via fader controls or by clicking on the associated number box and entering a new value. Fine tuning of the
faders may be achieved by holding down the "Ctrl' button while moving the fader with your mouse.

ReverbX has eight main algorithms which can be selected by clicking the box shown (below). Each Algorithm offers a unique set of
parameters. In other words, not all controls are available on all algorithms. The dots next to the algorithm name are a reference to give
a basic idea of CPU requirements for each algorithm. A true CPU meter is located directly below the algorithm name, it offers a
more precise representation of CPU usage. NOTE: Auditorium, Large Room, and Bright Hall will probably not run real-time(multi-track) on
less than a 933mhz machine. In instances where you wish to use these algorithms, we recommend applying them 'offline' to save CPU.
However, real-time previews for these algorithms may be achieved using a 2-track editor on a much slower machine (~800mhz).

NOTICE: ATTEMPTING TO USE LARGE ALGORITHMS WITHOUT THE 'CPU CAPACITY' TO DUE SO MAY CAUSE
YOUR SYSTEM TO STOP RESPONDING!!!

ReverbX also contains 2 PAGES for each algorithm. Page 2 contains the EQ parameters as well as high and low cut filters. Low
frequency reverberation often causes an unwanted 'muddying' effect. For this reason, all (factory) default presets are shelved at 125hz.

The EQ is essentially a 1 band parametric EQ with boost/cut, bell size(Q), and frequency controls... We labeled it 'Notch', even though it
also does ''boost"...sorry. :)

An example of 'limited parameters' on some algorithms...this is 'correct'.

Now to the fun stuff... ReverbX (like all sonictimeworks plugins) has a 'built-in' (or, as the europeans like to say, a 'build-in) preset system.
We strongly recommend using this system, as your presets will travel with you from one sound application to another. The preset system
is available by 'right-clicking' any unused portion of the plugin. This is also where you will find the factory presets. It is quite simple and
easy to use.

You may also notice "Left to Right Gradient", "Set Background Colour" 1&2, etc... these are to keep you from getting bored, enjoy...
"Set Background Bitmap" will accept any 750x167 .bmp file, so have fun and mail us your cool skins...
