Introduction
I, Kumar Sanjay, residence of Sindh, Pakistan. Having developed a keen eye for the emerging technologies
around me, I have always been passionate about exploring the science of computer and information
systems ever since I was a young kid. Pursuing an MS in Computer Software Engineering from University
of Northampton, I aim to improve and strengthen my knowledge of this technical domain and strive to
acquire the necessary skills to advance further in the technology field. Through this application Essay, I
want to provide the details of academics, personal background, qualities, my source of inspiration and
objective for master study.
Qualification and Experience

Having initially interest in foreign degree I completed my three-year bachelor’s in computer science at
Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) in Malaysia, I acquired an overall perspective of
this scientific discipline, with a particular interest in Object Oriented Programming. Data Structures, .NET
Technology, Database Management, Theory of Computation and Principles of Compiler Design were some
of the other areas that captured my attention. I completed my schooling and intermediate in 2016 at
Board of Intermediate and Secondary education in Sindh, Pakistan. I scored 77% in my intermediate
examination. I also involved myself in numerous projects during the bachelor’s degree, including Tree
Data Structure Implementation, Stimulation of Barber Shop, Online Attendance System, and others.
Apart from the projects undertaken in college, it was my desire to gain exposure to the software industry,
and this prompted me to take up various training and internship. I spent three months in Infinite Plus
Technology Malaysia for the internship where I was responsible for the designing of web application. For
my final University dissertation, I developed the “Product Meta Search Engine” project which will enable
the users to find the best products from different ecommerce websites by using this search engine. Having
acquired a solid foundation in the field of computer science through a rigorous undergraduate program,
and my internship in the IT industry, at this point, I feel that it is the right time to take up graduate studies.
I Joined BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre Malaysia as Web Developer since March 2020, the main
responsibility was coding, designing, and implementing in-house web and mobile and understand the
requirement gathered from end/business users to translate their needs into functional and technical
requirements. I used the .Net and Outsystems (Low Code) Platform and developed multiple web projects.
Why this course and University

My innate interest for technology field began as teenager when I found myself fascinated by the world of
computers and sooner engrossed myself in the science of programming. This course also has demands in
job so I will have number of companies like Nigel Frank International, UST, OutSprint, Outsystems and
other companies in UK. if I would have interest to work there after completing my master’s degree, I can
find the jobs based on my skills. The MS program in Computer Software Engineering offered by the
University of Northampton will undoubtedly provide me with the right knowledge, skills, and experience
to pursue that dream and fully exploit the opportunities and it also have numbers of scholarship for the
students. By choosing this university, I will have the opportunity of working alongside active researchers
who are specialist in their field. They provide personal, subject-specific guidance on everything from skills
development and job searches to interview preparation and practical help which will be the best benefit
for the students.

Why choose this country
I am one of those who dreamt of having higher studies in UK, it is a land of quality universities and a
treasure of opportunities. The UK is a multicultural country and is also immensely popular with
international students. In fact, the UK is the second most popular destination for overseas students in the
world and also has the best IT Jobs.
Future Plan/ Career Goal

The main goal is to start my own business in my native country after completing the master’s degree from
UK, but I will still try to get a chance to work in UK companies and then I will come back to my country
with having a good experience.

I am sure that my passion, knowledge, and capabilities will grow leaps and bounds as a student at your
university and will take me closer to my goal of establishing my promising professional prowess in the
technological sphere.
