Logarithmic Functions, Equations, and Inequalities

Logarithmic functions, equations, and inequalities are distinguished as follows: - A logarithmic function is of the form f(x) = logb x, where b > 0 and b ≠ 1. - A logarithmic equation involves logarithms and uses the equals sign, such as log x = 2. - A logarithmic inequality involves logarithms and uses inequality signs like < or >, for example log x > 2. The key differences are: logarithmic functions define a function, logarithmic equations set two logarithmic expressions equal, and logarithmic inequalities compare two logarithmic expressions using inequality signs.

Subtasks:
• Recognize logarithmic functions, equations and
inequalities.
• Differentiate among logarithmic functions, equations and

Blossom,
is there a
problem
? Buttercup, I’m so tired
of figuring what the
differences are

Of course! I’m sure Professor functions, equations,
would be happy if we will and inequalities.
help each other in studying
our lessons, especially in
differentiating logarithmic

Blossom,
Buttercup
and I will
help you.
