Reflection:

In the century we are currently living in, technology is an enormous part of both the

adults and children’s lives. Because of technology, the way we think, work, and play has been

revolutionized (Why Do We Need Technology Integration?, 2007). The need for technology is

steadily evolving in the classroom and school setting. Studies have shown that students are more

eager to learn with the use of different learning tools like technology in the classroom. The use of

technology is a majority of the way lessons are delivered on a daily basis. When the world went

into the global pandemic a few years ago, the students lost out on a ½ year of instruction in our

state. After lots of meetings and planning, the board of education was able to come up with a

way for all students to receive the education they deserved by teaching students virtually.
6

Without the use and availability of technology, teachers and students would not have had the

opportunity to come up with virtual lessons and ways for students to interact, engage, complete,

and collaborate with their peers and other activities needed for them to learn and complete a

successful year of virtual learning.

As teachers continue to incorporate the use of technology as instructed through the

curriculum, the students’ learning may progress, and they will learn more independent learning

skills to help them grow as learners. As I conducted my research on the different forms of

technology in the classroom, I was introduced to the different positive effects it could have on

our students. With the new information I found, I plan to continue my incorporation of different

technology uses in the classroom. It’s important for us as educators to integrate different styles of

learning into our daily lessons so that all students have the opportunity to grasp a better

understanding of the information.
