Important Test Instructions

Dear Students,

Welcome to myPAT – India’s largest online learning and assessment platform. We specialize in conducting online tests
and assessment which students can attempt from their home or any other place using digital devices such as desktops,
laptops, smart phones and tablets.

For many of you, this might be the first time you are attempting an important online test. To make this experience
comfortable for you, please go through the instructions that should be followed when preparing for and attempting an
online test.

Preparing for Online Test

1. Mock tests have been provided to every student so that they can get familiar with the exam screen and how to
attempt questions. You can attempt it multiple times.
2. Mock tests have the same pattern as the actual test. Please attempt it to test your knowledge and preparation as
well.
3. Web interface for attempting the test is different from mobile interface due to difference in screen sizes. Please
practice on both multiple times before the actual exam.
4. Results and analysis provided at the end of the mock test are there for you to analyze your attempt strategy and
preparation.

Setting up your environment and devices for the Exam

1. Please find a room where you can be alone during the period of your exam.
2. Advice your family members and friends to not call you or interact with you during the exam period.
3. Make sure that you have appropriate setting in the room for taking an exam seriously which includes
a. Study Table
b. Chair
c. Your Device for taking the exam
d. Pen and Rough sheets for solving the exam
4. Please make sure that no interruptions of any kind like battery discharge, power failure occurs, etc. during the
exam. You can switch devices during the exam, but it will cost you some time. Good practice is to have a fully
charged portable power bank if you are attempting it on a mobile device. If you want to switch device during exam,
you would have to call our support team and follow the directions provided by them.
5. Make sure you have a strong internet connectivity at the start and during the exam. Minimum requirement is
512kbps.

Things to take care of during the exam

1. Please prepare your environment and open your device at least 20 min before the exam starts and check your
network strength, battery strength etc. Your Test attempt button will be enabled exactly at the test start time.

2. If you are using mobile device for attempt, you can download the test 6 hours before the test start time. It’s
advisable that users download it beforehand.
3. Read any instructions provided on screen before the test carefully and follow them.
4. When the Test starts, please click on the “Start Test” button to visit the test paper and questions related
instruction page.
5. Click on “I agree ..” statement at the bottom of the instruction page to start attempting the questions in the paper.
6. Web interface and mobile interface for attempting tests are different from each other. There are menu items for
navigating to different sections of the test.
7. On a single question in a paper, you have multiple ways you can respond which are listed below
a. Attempt the question by providing or selecting your answer based on the type of question and click next
b. You can leave the question and click next
c. You can attempt the question and click on “Mark for Review” and then go to next question
d. You click on “Mark for Review” without attempting the question and go to next question
8. Based on your responses, the total count of questions is also shown on the exam screen under 5 question attempt
status categories.
a. Attempted
b. Not Attempted
c. Attempted and Marked for Review
d. Not Attempted and Marked for Review
e. Not Visited
9. You can also view your attempt status of all the questions of the exam on one screen. From this screen, you can
also jump to any question that you wish based on its status.
10. Avoid switching windows, browser tabs during the test. On mobile devices, DO NOT minimize app during the exam.
11. Using calculators or calculator app during the test is strictly prohibited. The application will take random
screenshots and students found using calculator or any other online help will be disqualified.
12. When you want to finish the test paper before the exam end time, please click Submit to confirm. A summary of
question counts under the 5 question attempt status categories is shown and submission is confirmed.
13. Test is auto submitted when the test timer runs out and you will automatically be taken to the after submit page.
14. Your scores and correct answers along with the copy of your responses will be published at least 3 hours after the
test end time.
