Step 1) Find the midpoints of the scores by using your own calculator. THIS SHOULD BE THE ONLY STEP WHERE YOU USE A CA
Step 2) Use your Cell reference (for example, A16 or B22) to multiply Frequency and Midpoint in D26.
Copy your formula to the other cells in column D.
Step 4) Find the mean of the scores by dividing the sum of column D by the sum of the Frequencies.
Step 6) Square the cells in E using ^2. For example squaring cell G10 would be G10^2
Step 8) Find the population standard deviation by square rooting the sum of fi(mi - µ)^2 divided by the sum of the frequencies
The square root function in excel is SQRT(whatever you are square rooting)
