SURRENDER

II – The blessing of surrender


 Peace. Job 22:21 (NLT) ”Stop quarrelling with God! If you agree with Him, you will have peace at last,
and things will go well for you.”
 Freedom. Romans 6:17 ”Offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits… His
command set you free to live openly in His freedom”
 Power.
o Joshua’s victory in Jericho
 Fell to woship God
 Surrendered to God
 Surrender doesn’t weaken us; it strengthen us.

Conclusion
 Surrendering to God is the only way to live.
o If not to God, you will surrender to world, money, fear, pride, lust or ego.
o We were designed to worship, and if not to God, we will create our own god.
o Stanley Jones said:
 “If you don’t surrender to Christ, you surrender to chaos.”
 We talked about interfering God’s work lately.
o God is going to do His work in you, it will begin with this.
 Give God all you past regrets, present problems, future ambitions, fears, dreams,
weaknesses and habits.
 Let Jesus Christ be the driver of your life and take your hands off the steering wheel.
 When we completely surrender ourselves to Jesus, we discover that:
o He is not a tyrant, but a savior
o He is not a boss, but a brother
o He is not a dictator, but a friend
