DISCARD POLICY
Introduction
TAQWA OIL INDUSTRIES PVT LTD is dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality products possible.
We take care to insure that only our best leaves the premises. In the event that a product does get comply with
the standards of manufacturing or which has been returned from selling point or which is of questionable
quality, the dispatch program, as outlined in this manual, will be put into action.
Discard Policy is indicated when a product we manufacture could represent a hazard to the consumer, out of
standards, exceeded from shelf life or damaged through an means. Our discard program will effectively
remove that product from circulation.
All products manufactured at TAQWA OIL INDUSTRIES PVT LTD have production dates, best before
dates, and/or lot codes attached to them. All products that are dispatched out have the production dates noted
on the packing slips. In the event of a problem with any product either during processing, or in finished phase
we implement a quality check especially in a case when any product is returned due to any manner or when the
product may exceed its shelf life (as mentioned on Mfg/ Exp Dates) or when any ingredient cause any trouble
in production of any product. This quality check is handled by the Quality Assurance Department.
Aim
The main objectives of this discard plan are:
1. Stop the distribution and sale of the affected product.
2. Efficiently remove the affected product from the marketplace.
3. Remove the affected product from the warehouse and/or distribution areas.
4. Dispose of the affected product.
5. Conduct a root cause analysis and report the effectiveness and outcome of the recall.
6. Implement a corrective action plan to prevent another recall.
7. Maintain the quality of product with consistency and similar quality.

DISCARD / RETURN POLICY


 Every food item is properly documented with respect to its manufacturing and expiry (BB) dates.
 Separate area / place / cupboard/ container etc is designated for expired / return material and is
discarded on time
 All ingredients/ food items are sorted before placing to store or processing area
 No expired material is found from area where fresh or usable food items are being placed or used.
 Adequate facility for drainage and waste disposal is provided.
 The facilities are constructed to avoid cross contamination.
 Discard of food item is done in the presence of Quality Assurance Department to ensure the
implementation of policy effectively.
 No discard able food item (finished / returned / wasted / expired / non comply to standards) is allowed
to be used or reused in preparation of any food product.
