REFLECTION PAPER
Code of Ethics Reflections/ Implications to you as a teacher
Article I- Scope and Limitations Section 1. As a future educator, the institution or
school I attend must provide a high-quality education
to every aspiring teacher, because if schools provide a
high-quality education to students, they will produce
high-quality students and teachers.

Section 2. As an aspiring teacher and if I am become a


professional teacher, I must adhere to the code of
ethics because all teachers, whether in public or private
elementary or secondary schools, are subject to this
code.

Article 2- The Teacher and the State Section 1. As a teacher, it is my responsibility to teach
and provide ample opportunities for young adults or
young minds to grow, and it is also my responsibility as
a teacher to teach students not only facts but also
values, morals, and patriotism and nationalism. As
educator, I believe that education is more than just
giving students information; it is also teaching them to
be good and morally upright people, and it is our
responsibility as teachers to fulfill this responsibility.

Section 3. As a teacher, I must be qualified in all


aspects in order to be an effective teacher. I must be
physically fit, which means I must be healthy and free
of any illnesses that prevent me from teaching
students. I must also be mentally fit, which means I
must be free of a lot of stress or problems. Finally, I
must be morally fit, because as a teacher, I will be a
role model for all students, so my actions must be
morally upright and my students can look at me and
imitate my action.
Section 5. As a teacher, I must not take action or use
my position to gain or promote something that is
beneficial to myself or for personal gain. I should also
not promote my religious beliefs to my students, as a
teacher, I must respect my students' religious beliefs.

Section 7. As Professional Teacher I am not allowed to


attend or participate in any rally or action against the
government or any politician.

Article 3- The Teacher and the Community Section 1. One of the roles of a teacher is to facilitate
learning. As a learning facilitator, Teachers are
expected to make learning as simple as possible for the
students. Teacher must be a good facilitator so that my
students understand complex things or information in
the simplest way possible.

Section 2. This section says that as a teacher we are


also a member of the community member and as such,
teachers should participate in some of the programs
and activities that the municipality has to offer.

Section 3. As a teacher, we must always ensure that I


am dignified, honorable, and deserving of being
imitated or considered a role model by my students, so
the actions of a teacher must always be professional so
that the young minds or young adults consider me as a
role model that they can imitate. So as a teacher we
must act professional all the times.

Section 4. This section means that as a teacher, We


must respect our students' cultures and traditions, and
we must recognize that each of my students or learners
is unique and must be treated equally.
This section also means that if you are teaching in
other place, the you should learned their practice and
should you must respect their culture and customs.

Section 8. As teacher, I have the freedom to practice


whatever religion I want. The teachers can choose
whatever religious belief or sect they want, but
teachers cannot force students to believe in what they
want to believe, because if a teacher has the freedom
to choose what religion or belief they want to believe,
students have the same freedom.
Article 4- The Teacher and The Profession Section 2. As a teacher in order to be a productive
educator, I must master my subject matter and have
the ability to work with a specific subject matter, no
matter how complicated it is.

Section 3. As a teacher, I must continue to study and


learn new information and ideas, as well as attend
various seminars to improve my teaching skills and to
learn new things so that I can offer something new to
my students or learners.

Article 5- The Teacher and The Teaching Section 1. Respect must be shown especially in the
Community learning community, and as teachers, we should learn
how to respect and trust others. However, respect and
trust must be reciprocal, which means both parties
must act in the same way.

Section 2. This section informs about the intellectual


property. As a teacher, if I use research and use it as
references, I must give credit and acknowledgement to
those who contributed to the research.

Section 3. Before I leave my place or my job, as a


teacher, I must speak with the person who will take my
place and instruct him or her on the ins and outs of the
position, as well as any potential challenges that he or
she may face, and I must also provide all necessary
documents to assess the person who will take my
place.

Section 5. As teachers, we must always act


professionally, but if someone acts unprofessionally,
whether it is a superior or a coworker, we have the
right to file a complaint, but we must have proof or
evidence.

Article 6- The Teacher and The Higher Section 2. As a teacher, I must never make a false

is both unethical and unprofessional action. As a
teacher, our acquisitions or charges must be well
supported by a large amount of evidence in order to
prove that we are correct and that our colleague's or
superior's action is unprofessional.

Section 4. As Educator, I had the right to speak out


against discrimination and injustice in the classroom
and in the teaching community.

Section 5. As a teacher in the classroom, I should be


promoted based on my abilities and skill in teaching,
not on whom I know in the school.

Section 6. As a teacher, I must study the job


description and thoroughly comprehend the job before
accepting any position. As a teacher, before accepting
an offer or accepting a job, we must first ask ourselves
if we are capable of handling this job or position, and if
we believe we are, we must do our best to fulfill the
obligation and responsibility.

Article 7- School Officials, Teachers, and Section 1. As a teacher, I may encounter a variety of
Other Professionals people in the teaching community including school
officials, colleagues, superiors, and other professionals,
and I must show courtesy, helpfulness, and genuine
sympathy to teachers, students, and other individuals,
regardless of their position.

Article 8- The Teacher and The Learners Section 1. As a teacher, it is our responsibility to
determine a student's academic grade. As a teacher, I’
am in charge of computing my students' grades, and
students are the ones who determine their own grades,
so as Instructor I must practice and keep a record of all
important data.

Section 2. As a teacher, my goal is to teach my


students, and I want to be a part of their growth and
development, so I must treat all of my students fairly
and equally.

Section 3. As an educator, I have no right to


discriminate against my students based on their social
status, ethnic background, or any other aspect of their
lives; instead, I must treat them fairly and equally, and
make the classroom as comfortable for them as
possible.

Section 4. As professional Teacher, I am not allowed to


accept any gift or bravery from my students or parents
in exchange for requested concision.

Section 6. As a teacher, I am responsible for


calculating a student's grade based on their outputs,
such as how they work on exam quizzes and outputs or
how they perform in class.
Section 7. As a teacher, I must conduct myself
professionally at all times, and I must not fall in love
with my students. However, if Instructor and a student
are attracted to each other, the teacher must exercise
the utmost professional discretion.

Section 8. As a teacher I do not have the authority to


use corporal punishment on my student.

Article 9- The Teacher and Parents Section 1. As a teacher, I must develop or create a
harmonious relationship with the parents of my
students. This is the type of relationship that a teacher
and parents can develop

Section 2. My role as a teacher is to assist in the


development of my students, but as a teacher I cannot
do everything so I must collaborate with parents, and
the lessons that a student learned in school must be
reinforced or practiced at their home.

Article 10- The Teacher and Business Section 1. As a teacher, I have the right to earn money
from other sources, but this income does not interfere
with my teaching.

Section 2. As a teacher, I am free to take a loan or be in


debt as long as I am able to repay the debt according to
the terms and conditions.

Article 11- The Teacher as A Person Section 1. I have the right to live my life to the fullest
as a teacher, but in order to do so, I must live my life
with dignity, and as a teacher, I must dress and move in
a dignified manner.

Article 12- Disciplinary Action Section 1. As a teacher, we must always remember


that when commit a mistake or violate the law, there is
a repercussion, and as a teacher, the disciplinary action
may include revocation of Certification of Registration
and License as a Professional teacher, as well as
suspension from the practice of teaching. So, before
we do any action, consider what punishment we would
face if we broke the law.
