matrix each row and column is binary numerated by analogy with
the Chinese table of 64 hexagrams (Fig. 1) and with the genetic
table of 64 triplets (Fig. 4).
Each row and each column of the matrix of dyadic shifts is
numerated by means of binary numbers from the dyadic group (1).
Each of matrix cells has its binary numeration from the same dyadic
group (1). This numeration of any cell is the result of modulo-2
addition of binary numerations of the column and the row of this
cell. For example, the cell from the column 110 and the row 101
obtains the binary numeration 011 by means of their modulo-2
addition. Such numerations of matrix cells are termed “dyadic-
shift numerations” (or simply “dyadic numeration”).
It is obvious that the Chinese table of 64 hexagrams and the
genetic matrix of 64 triplets can be also represented as the matrix of
dyadic shifts, if each of their cells is binary numerated by means of
modulo-2 addition of binary numerations of its row and column.
Ancient Chinese paid a special attention to a difference between
even and odd numbers, which are considered as Yin and Yang
numbers (or female and male numbers) correspondingly. Let us
also pay our attention to the location of even numbers 0, 2, 4, 6 and
odd numbers 1, 3, 5, 7 in the matrix of dyadic shifts (Fig. 9), which is
identical to the location of white and black cells in a chessboard.

Walsh functions, which are rows of Hadamard matrices (Fig. 3),
are widely used in noise-immunity coding of information and in
many other tasks of digital signals processing (Ahmed and Rao,
