Language certificate
Please provide proof of your English language skills at level B2 of the Common European Framework
of Reference for Languages (CEFR) e.g. university degree at an education institution where English is the language of instruction,
IELTS ≥ 5.0, Cambridge Examinations: ≥ first certificate, TOEFL paper ≥ 500, or computer ≥ 170 or internet ≥ 80, UNIcert II.

Credits in mathematics
20 credit points in mathematical courses are required for admission to the MSc Data Science. Of these
20 credit points, at least 5 credit points need to be in the area of Linear Algebra or Calculus and at least
5 credit points need to be in the area of Probability Theory or Statistics. Please indicate the relevant
courses in the forms below. Here is an example for the fulfillment of the linear algebra and analysis
courses.

Selection criteria

Practical experience
10 selection points are awarded for proof of pertinent practical experience in data science amounting
to at least 150 hours. Please indicate the relevant experience, the institution at which this experience

Advanced training
A total of 10 selection points can be earned for proof of advanced training amounting to at least 40
hours (e.g. via online learning certificates). Please indicate the advanced training, the institution that
provided the advanced training, and the total number of hours here.
