ASEEM, a Skill Management Information

System

Acts as a directory of skilled workforce. The objective is to provide a


platform that matches supply of skilled workforce with the market demand,
thereby facilitating better livelihood opportunities. It is prudent to mention
that not all candidates registered on ASEEM will be looking for jobs at
every given point in time. However, when they will, the employers will
have access to their profiles via common skill workforce directory called
ASEEM.

In an endeavour to improve the information flow and bridge the demand-supply gap in the skilled workforce
market, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has launched ‘Aatamanirbhar Skilled
Employee Employer Mapping (ASEEM)’ portal to help skilled people find sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Apart from recruiting a skilled workforce that spurs business competitiveness and economic growth, the
Artificial Intelligence-based platform has been envisioned to strengthen their career pathways by handholding
them through their journeys to attain industry-relevant skills and explore emerging job opportunities especially
in the post COVID era.
Benefits of ASEEM portal
Envisaging the rapidly changing nature of work and how it impacts the workforce is crucial in restructuring the
skilling ecosystem with the new normal settling post-pandemic. Besides identifying major skills gap in the
sectors and providing review of global best practices, ASEEM will  provide employers a platform to assess the
availability of skilled workforce and formulate their hiring plans. Aatamanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer
Mapping (ASEEM) refers to all the data, trends and analytics which describe the workforce market and map
demand of skilled workforce to supply. It will provide real-time granular information by identifying relevant
skilling requirements and employment prospects.
Salient features
 ASEEM is usable as a match-making engine to map skilled workers with the jobs available.
 ASEEM shall help in providing real-time data analytics to National Skill Development Corporation

(NSDC) and its  Sector Skill Councils about the demand and
supply patterns including - industry requirements, skill gap analysis, demand per district/ state/cluster,
key workforce suppliers, key consumers, migration patterns and multiple potential career prospects for
candidates.
 The portal consists of three IT based interfaces
o Employer Portal – Employer onboarding, Demand Aggregation, candidate selection
o Dashboard – Reports, Trends, analytics, and highlight gaps
o Candidate Application – Create & Track candidate profile, share job suggestion
 For workers/candidates : The portal and App will have provision for registration and data upload for
workers across job roles, sectors and geographies. The skilled workforce can register their profiles on
the app and can search for employment opportunities in their neighbourhood.
 Employers : Through ASEEM, employers, agencies and job aggregators looking for skilled workforce
in specific sectors will also have the required details at their fingertips.
 Policy makers : It will also enable policymakers take more objective view of various sectors.

Aatmanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer Mapping (ASEEM) portal based on AI
provides real-time information by identifying relevant skilled needs and employment
prospects. This portal is an integrated platform to enable growth and development
opportunities for our skilled candidates, employers, training providers and government,
which is helpful in improving the economic system of our country.
Skill India has announced the launch of the Aatmanirbhar Skilled Employee Employer
Mapping (ASEEM) portal to help a better workforce to find job opportunities. This platform
will be highly beneficial for employees and employers. The ASEEM Employees
Registration portal will cater to the demand-supply of skilled employees across sectors,
mapping out the details of workers based on the demands of regions and local industry.
ASEEM Portal, What’s the need of the Portal?
Millions of people have lost their jobs all over India due to Corona disease, due to which
these people have either returned to their country or have returned to their villages. They
have been called migrant workers. Among these millions, many people were skilled laborers
and many are non-skilled. Now these people are sitting in their homes waiting for
employment.

There are many such companies which have now opened back but there is a shortage of
people working in them, and they are looking for new workers. Taking steps in this direction,
the central government has started a digital platform where the employer and the employee
can interact with each other and talk about employment, this portal is called Aseem Portal.

Benefits of Registration on ASEEM


Through ASEEM Portal Registration, skilled employees will get job opportunities from large
companies that provide good salaries. Registered candidates will also get jobs in Swiggy,
Zomato, Ola, Uber, SIS Securities and more than 50 companies, which include active city
Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi (NCR), Hyderabad. The only requirement to get employment is
your mobile number.
You can download the Aseem app to see the details of all jobs in your area. Other details of
jobs like monthly salary, place of employment, essential qualifications are also available on
this app. In addition, a registered person from among the officers will be called and will help
in finding a new job at no charge. This app will help better employees start working in the
new company within 5 days.

Necessary Documents & Eligibility to Apply on ASEEM Portal


 This portal can be applied only to registered companies.
 It will be mandatory for all companies to give minimum salary to their employees.
 Along with this, the employees will have to give information about their earlier work
which they used to do.
 To register on the Aseem portal you will need an Aadhaar card, identity card, mobile
number and email ID.
Objective of the Portal
The main objective of Aseem Portal is to provide employment opportunities to all
unemployed people. In addition, this portal will also solve the labor shortage problem of
employers. Both employees and employers can create their profiles on the ASEEM portal.
With which the employees will be able to get employment according to their skills and they
will not have to go to another state for their employment. Not only this, all companies will
also be able to find employees according to their requirements and their work will continue
without interruption.

ASEEM IT-based Interface
Aseem Portal is designed to work like Employment Exchange and that is why a special
interface has been developed for this portal. This portal includes three types of IT based
interface which is as follows.

 Employer portal: Employer onboarding, demand aggregation, candidate selection


facilities are available on the employer portal.
 Dashboard: Features like reports, tenders, analytics, highlight gaps are available on
the dashboard.
 Candidate application: Through this interface all candidates can create their profile,
track status, also get job suggestions.
Online Registration for Swades
 First of all you have to go to the official website of the ASEEM Portal. After this, the
homepage of the website will open in front of you.
 On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of “For Swadesh“.
After this, a new page will open in front of you.
 Click on register Now Button and a registration form will open in front of you.
 Fill the registration form carefully, check the terms and conditions and tick on the
box.
 Now in the end press register Button to complete your registration process.
