Learning Task 1:

As a person who studies and practices technology, you must be able to know the variations or
options in installing an operating system that is compatible with the hardware requirement of a
personal computer.
Checking a computer’s technical specs might be necessary when it comes to installing new
software, programs, or games. It might be pretty much useless to play a game or run a program if
your computer is not capable of supporting its requirements. It is always an advantage to know the
full information about your hardware.
Choose the icon/symbol that represents the given hardware specifications.

The Windows 7 end-of-life was on January 14, 2020. This was when Microsoft discontinued
technical support and quit supplying Windows 7 users with software updates and security fixes
through Windows Update. Microsoft also ended support for the following for Windows 7 users:
• Internet Explorer
• Games like Internet Checkers and Internet Backgammon
• Microsoft Security Essentials platform (signature updates remain)
Although Windows 7 has been discontinued, it can still be activated and installed on new
computers. If you are a Microsoft 365 user, Microsoft will continue to provide security updates for
