    1 # paye hai itna ke arzoo ab hone nahi deti

    saamaan kuchh to kam ho


    hairaan hu yeh jahan khone nahi deti

    lahoo chashm se katrate hai bahut


    aane ke liye bahe jane ke liye
    aafat yeh khushi rone nahi deti

    hum aachche hai yeh dawa nahi karte


    ranj-e-bura bhi kaha hota hai
    honi koi anhoni bhi to hone nahi deti

    maut to ek haseen khwab hai, raqeeb,


    tum ko bhi dekhna hum ko bhi
    par zindagi hai ki sone nahi deti...

    2 # tune iHtiyaaj(need) mein mujhe dil ki kareeb bana dala


    teri NIYAAZ (desire /poverty) aisi thi ke khudko gareeb bana dala

    teri ibtisaam (smile) dekha to samjhe duniya khush hai


    teri tazgi ko main apna naseeb bana dala

    ulfat ke bazar hai lagi chustan-e-gulistaan mein


    meri naa-raasti (dishonesty) mujhe badnaseeb bana dala

    riKHt (the URDU language ) to ata nahi kya karoon bayan ab to


    aashuftah mujhko tune aye 'gHalib' (the famous poet) bana dala

    dil-e-durush puchhe yeh kya kar dala raqeeb tune


    hay re tune khud hi apna ek raqeeb bana dala

    3 # dil rakh jaay fir dil na puchhe aise dilbar koi milta nahi
    aise befikr koi milta nahi aise be-khabar koi milta nahi

    tasleem karte hai uski jo ishq mein mita


    lekin aise dil-jale ki qabr koi milta nahin

    mehfuz rakkha aise is asir ko tune dil mein


    ke dil ko apne dil ka hi khabar koi milta nahin

    falak tak jashn hai aj ke mausam badal gaya


    ashq ko bahna hai par abr koi milta nahi

    shab ke maqam par chand utarne ko hai taiyar


    waqt se pahle aaye.... aise be_sabr koi milta nahin

    justaju jari hai janaza tak ab mitna hai mujhe


    ai raqeeb tere barabar koi milta nahi

    chay hi sahi tere liye ai raqeeb
    sharaab to ghalib ka hai dawa-e-dard

    raastah , wastaah , khastah, hasta huya miley basta gul-dastah

    hijaab aur din pas pas baithe hai


    aise anjuman mein chand nikal ne ko sharmati hai

    ae duniya itna khush-rukh mat ho ke mujhe rona aay

    aakhir hai yeh tera gham jo na kabhi roostan huya


    mein chaaha yeh jara huye mein kaha to yeh dastaan huya

    bahas-e-mudda mano isko ya mazaq mein chahey uDa do


    humne dekha hai aakhon se khwabon ka aj uDaan huya

    yun to thi bikhri huyi baatein yahaan- wahaan


    tune dekha to ashq bane, tune chuya to muskaan huya

    teri gali mein raqeeb akhir kitne dil tuta na jane


    ek ekela nachis hi tha jo ki pashemaan huya

    sang-e - gulaab kaha...lahu -e ahat hoti hai


    ruswaa ke hoto pe kab muskurahat hoti hai chahat hoti hai... rahat hoti hai

    neithr rose bloom in stone ...nor bleeding make noise


    smile is not for unwanted ppl

    RAT BHAR GIRE AANSOO SUBAHA SHABNAM HO GAYE


    ibtidaa hona tha khatam ho gaye

    dakhil shamil dil qabil mujmahil hasil manzil

    surur -e - ishq mana humne
    jaaiye dur jaayiye kitna

    ishq mein sochte ho zakhm kaise ho


    shola na ho to shabnam kaise ho

    khwabon se hai nisbat raat ka ... alag thehra


    itni rukhi hai zindagi aakhein nam kaise ho

    jo chute karwaan se to humrahi ho tanhai


    koyi sathi kaise ho humdam kaise ho
    har ek shaam qabil ho to yaadgaar kaise ho
    koyi bazm kaise ho shaam e gham kaise ho

    bari lambi hai yeah dastaan -e - zindagi


    Ibtidaa huyi hai bas khatam kaise ho

    khud se ab kya bhagna raqeeb


    jab tum na ho to yeh hum kaise ho
