The document describes several note-taking methods:
1. The outline method organizes notes in a hierarchical structure using indentation. It does not require markings as the spacing shows importance.
2. Cornell notes divide the page into sections for notes, cues, and summaries. This method encourages reflection but takes more time than in-lecture notes.
3. The boxing method divides the page into boxes to group related topics or subtopics. It provides a simple visual structure.

Method Formula Theory
Outline The outline method makes a fine outline of the material consisting of several topics, subtopics, and more advanced explanations. Listening and then write in points in an organized pattern based on space indention. Place major points farthest to the left. Indent each more specific point to the right. Levels of importance will be indicated by distance away from the major point. Markings are not necessary as space relationships will indicate the major/minor points Cornell Cornell notes a system for taking, organizing and reviewing notes and has been devised by Prof. Walter Pauk of Cornell University in the 1950s. This method perfect for notes of exam preparation because this method will encourage us to reflect on our notes by actively summarizing them in their own words. We can’t used this method for taking at a lecture because this method take so much time. Boxing
Each page of your notes is
filled with several boxes. Inside the boxes are all interrelated content. You can divide the boxes by topics or subtopics as you choose. The information will be managed in several columns, similar to a table or spreadsheet.each column means a unique category which makes the rows easily comparable. This method is a good way if you need to memorize lots of information cause the information will be clearly structured and easily comparable. But it is not suitable to apply during classes or lectures especially in a lecture where the content isn’t clear beforehand because this method need lots of time. Mapping Mapping method is a method that uses comprehension/ concentration skills and comprise for taking note form which relates each fact or idea to every other fact or idea. Mapping is a graphic representation of the content of a lecture. The format of mapping method helps you to visually track your lecture regardless of conditions.
