Problem1
I need to be better at long term planning.
Problem2
I need a way to keep my students' work
organized and help them stay organized.
Problem3
I need a one-stop-shop for all assignments.
TheSolution
A digital sketchbook will allow me to plan
out the month for students while providing
them a place to keep and work on all
assignments.
HowIPlan
Step1
Make my monthly template
Take one for yourself or scan my QR
code for a digital template.
Step2
Plan summative dates
Step3
Plan activate "activities"
Making&Usingthe Step1
Sketchbook/Journal
Create your journal template using google slides-
scan the QR code to get a copy of mine
Step2
Add your master copy as a material on Google
Classroom
Step3
Show your students how to open the material,
make a copy, rename and share with you
Step4
In your google drive, make a shortcut to each
file-- I organize mine by class period
Pros
I know what we're doing every day before
I get to school.
Cons
It's a lot of planning & creating on the front end.
Teaching kids to copy and share was a pain.
Kids know what we're doing when they Adding slides for the next month isn't super great,
walk into class. but I just planned it into my first day of the month.
The month is planned. Grading means opening each slideshow
Makes creating eClass lessons much easier
I can focus on HOW I teach.
No more Google Classroom assignments!
It's allowing me to hold kids to deadlines.
They have the entire month to complete the
assignments.
Dates in the journal/sketchbook match
with eClass so I don't have to search to
find an assignment in eClass.
