“Since purchasing the estate in 1994, Jonathan and Lyn Maltus have raised the quality of Château Teyssier to rival that of the Crus Classés” (Oz

Burgundy
If you are a Burgophile who simply wants excellent Pinot but are unconcerned with labels, Antione Lienhardt's wines will be just what you are
looking for since, as most of the range comes from the humble Côte de Nuits, these are wines that punch well above their weight without breaking
the bank.

Burgundy
No-one who knows Burgundy would argue with the assertion that Domaine Joblot is the greatest estate in southern Burgundy. Only the home estate
of DRC's Aubert de Villaine's comes anywhere close to rivalling the wines of Jean-Marc and Vincent Joblot. It is not going too far to say that the
wines made in this 14ha estate are better than many grand cru wines from the Cote d'Or. All the wines have excellent levels of concentration with
impressive depth and acidity which is considered at least as important here as sugar levels.

Rhône Valley: Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Consistently the greatest and longest-lived Châteauneuf-du-Pape of all, Beaucastel has an unusually high Mourvèdre content of around 35% in most
vintages. This gives it great longevity, concentration and structure. A must for any Châteauneuf enthusiast.

A new project for Domaine de la Charite's owner, Christophe Coste, who owns a hectare of old-vine Grenache in the Gallimardes sector in the
south of the appellation. His first vintage has turned out a superb, deep fruited, prestige quality wine.
Baptiste Grangeon took over his family’s estate starting with the 1999 vintage. He produces modern-style Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines which attract
consistently high ratings from Robert Parker and others.

Rhône Valley: The Southern Rhône
One of the most important estates in both Gigondas and Cairanne, established in 1947 by André Brusset, grandfather of Laurent, the current
winemaker. There are two Gigondas cuvées, “Le Grand Montmirail” and the oaked “Les Hauts de Montmirail”. Both are consistently amongst the
finest wines to come out of the appellation each year with “Les Hauts” one of the most long-lived and powerful. “Chabriles” is a top-flight prestige
cuvée from one of the leading Côtes du Rhône Villages . Hommage and Secrets are rare wines flying the flag for their respective appellations.
Page 8
Rhône Valley: The Southern Rhône
This excellent Côtes du Rhône estate is managed by the dynamic, youthful Christophe Coste who manages his family’s 45 ha of vines. In only his
second vintage he was awarded Coup de Cœur in the Guide Hachette. He has continued this trend with citations in every edition of the guide since
then. In addition to La Charite, Christophe also owns Chateauneuf estate, Chateau Capucine.
We have been following the progress of Chateau Juvenal from its early days and, like anyone else who has tasted the wines here, have been blown
away by the quality. The standard range, Ribes de Vallat, offers a stunning Clairette/Viognier blend with more than a nod towards fine Burgundy, a
delightful rose and a Grenache-dominated red with a very Burgundian moutfeel. The slightly more expensive Terre du Petit Homme red is a more
classic barrel-aged Grenache/Syrah blend which will stand the test of time. In short, a real find.

Languedoc & Roussillon
New to the range is “Terra”, a high quality wine from mature Grenache and Syrah that is the first wine from this estate to be organically certified.
In addition to the grand vin, the family oversees a négociant operation in the valley, producing a range of wines under the Moulin de Gassac label.
These are reliably good, straightforward expressions of the varietals and blends used.

South-West France: Armagnac
Château de SALLES
Château de Salles, a 30 hectare vineyard owned by Benoit Hébert, is located in the heart of the Bas-Armagnac region in the Gers département of
South-West France. Fine Armagnacs have long been made here, using recipes and techniques handed down from generation to generation. The
vineyard has been recognized by "Excellence Gers” and vintages 1986, 1988 and 1990 have all been awarded Gold medals at the Concours Agricole
in Paris.

Enrico Nada has been at the helm since 2008. Treiso is one of the four Barbaresco communes, considered to produce the most fragrant Nebbiolo
and Dolcetto. With the family vineyards in the highly prized Casot sector, Enrico has raised the profile of this small estate which makes some very
good wines which are flamboyant and, as such, work extremely well on restaurant lists.

I CAMPI Verona
Flavio Pra is to the Veneto what Xavier Vignon is the the southern Rhone but with one difference: in addition to advising scores of wineries in the
region, he owns some vineyards from which he produces a range of very polished wines including Valpolicella Superiore and Ripasso, Amarone
and white wines from Soave and Lugana on the shores of Lake Garda. Gambero Rosso is clearly a big fan of the wines, awarding a Tre Bicchieri in
every vintage, usually to the Ripasso or Soave.
