In a sermon, the speaker reminds the congregation that as people of God, they must serve justly and set a good example through their actions. While no one witnessed wrongdoings like theft or improper practice, that does not make them acceptable. Lay ministers should also remember that receiving communion requires responsibility and sobriety. All who serve have a privilege and responsibility before God, and will be judged according to their deeds. Members should consider whether their service unites them with God or becomes an instrument of the devil separating them from God.

In our gospel today my dear brothers and sisters, we are reminded that whatever our role in society or

church, we must be just. For our ministry is for the glory of the Lord God and for the good of our
brethren. Amen the people of God, for we are the people of God. We should set ourselves as a good
example. The first to show the good acts. Not that we are the first and foremost to initiate the acts of
foolishness. For the example with the altar boy, supposedly no one has witnessed him, it doesn't mean
that he should steal the offerings and coins. Or maybe for the choir members thinking that there is no
salary and no snacks, it doesn't mean that they should not practice the songs properly. Lastly for the lay
ministers who were indulging themselves with alcohol and then receiving the body of Christ afterwards.
Let us remember dear brothers and sisters that in the gospel, we are reminded that our service is a
privilege but it brings great responsibility. At the end of our lives, God will bring justice according to our
deeds so the question now is, should we waste this opportunity that through our service we can be fully
united with God? Or is it through our service would become the devil's instrument to separate us from
God?
