Calculation To Provide Stirrups in Reinforcement of T10-200

The document discusses providing T10-200 stirrups instead of T8-150 stirrups as reinforcement in three locations - operational buildings in Allawa, staff quarters in WTP, and the Area Engineer's office in Polgahawela. T10-200 stirrups provide a shear resistant area of 393 mm2/m, which is greater than the 335 mm2/m provided by T8-150 stirrups, and are therefore sufficient to use instead.

 Calculation to provide stirrups in reinforcement of T10-200

instead of T8-150
Locations
operational building –Allawa (Plinth beams, floor beam),
Staff quarters – WTP (Floor beams, Roof beams)
Area Engineer’s office – Polgahawela (Ground beams, Floor beams, Roof beams)

Provided reinforcement = T8-150

Provided shear resistant area in 1m per length = 335 mm 2/m.
T10-200 shear resistant area = 393 mm 2/m

So T10-200 is sufficient to provide instead of T8-150.
