ATM Software Microproject Proposal: 1.0 Brief Introduction

The document proposes a microproject to develop an ATM software program using Turbo C. The aim is to study and program the ATM software. Key features of the software include allowing users to access their bank account via an ATM without visiting the bank by entering their card and PIN number. The user would be presented with a menu to select options like viewing payment history. Resources needed include internet access and the Turbo C software package. An action plan outlines responsibilities for information collection, proposal creation, and report writing by various team members.

ATM Software

MICROPROJECT PROPOSAL

1.0 Brief Introduction:-

Automated Teller Machine enables the client of a bank to have to their account without
going to the bank. This is achieved only by development the application using online
concepts. When the product is implemented, the user who uses this product will be able to see
all the information and services provided by the ATM, when he enters the necessary option
and arguments. The product also provides services like request for cheques, deposit cash and
other advanced requirement of the user. The data is stored in the database and is retrieved
whenever necessary. The implementation needs ATM machine hardware tope rate or similar
simulated conditions can also be used to successfully use the developed product.

The program is designed in such a way that the user has to card and pin
number. Once verified, he is provided a menu and he/she had to enter the option provided in
the menu. For example, when the user wants to view the list of payment history than he/she
had to enter the option for payment history provided in the main menu. When the option is
entered alone with the respective argument, then the payment history is displayed on the
screen.

The user also must be given option to browse through the pages like previous page, next
page, etc. The user may experience a delay in retrieving or viewing the data, when there are
many users logged on to the same bank branch system.

2.0 Aim of the Micro-Project :-

i. To Study The ATM Software
ii. To programme the ATM Software.

3.0 Intended Course Outcomes :-

i. Apply presentation schemes in program using Turbo.C.

ii. Publish the program on the Turbo.C software.

4.0 Literature Review:-

C was originally developed at Bell Labs by Dennis Ritchie between 1972and 1973 to make
utilities running on UNIX. Later, it was applied to re implementing the kernel of the UNIX
operating system. During the 1980s, C gradually gained popularity. Nowadays, it is one of
the most widely used programming languages with C compilers from various vendors
available for the majority of existing computer architectures and operating systems. C has
been standardized by the ANSI since 1989 and by the International Organization for
Standardization.
C is an imperative procedural language. It was designed to be compiled using a relatively
straightforward compiler to provide low-level access to memory and language constructs that
map efficiently to machine instructions, all with minimal runtime support. Despite its low-
level capabilities, the language was designed to encourage cross platform programming. A
standards-compliant C program written with portability in mind can be compiled for a wide
variety of computer platforms and operating systems with few changes to its source code.

5.0 Proposed Methodology:-

Various sources such as Internet, Books & lecturers are available to gain required information
of the available Type of Motherboard. Under the Guidance of Teacher And By following the
basic of C Language, Start to Write a Code on Paper , Sort it easily by representing it in form
of flowchart. Cross-Verify it by Correcting it with teachers and Start to Program the code on
A Compiler under the guidance of the teacher and compile it and if present, Correct the
Errors and Demonstrate the Program to the Teacher on A Computer System
