Networking Devices

Brief information:

Our project name is networking devices . From this anyone can know
purpose, features and function of the networking devices.

All but the most basic of networks require devices to provide connectivity and
functionality. Understanding how these networking devices operate and identifying the
functions they perform are essential skills for any network

Administrator and requirements for a Network+ candidate. This


project introduces commonly used networking devices, and, although it is true that
you are not likely to encounter all of the devices mentioned in this chapter on the
exam, you can be assured of working with at least some of them.

Aim of the micro-project:

Identify the purposes, features, and functions of the following network components:

Intended course outcomes:

To know:-

1. how hubs and switches work


2. how hubs and switches can be connected to create larger networks
3. how bridges, routers, and gateways work
4. how routing protocols are used for dynamic routing
5. Service Unit (CSU/DSU) and gateways
6. purpose and function of network cards
7. how to identify a MAC address
8. Understand the function of a transceiver
9. the purpose of a firewall

Literature Review:

Proposed Methodology:

In our project, we will first decide the title of the project. Then starting to
collect information about that project by discussing with our team members and also taking
reference from internet as well as our guide teacher Mrs.Momin Sir.

In our project we where gathering all whole information about the


networking devices. Then we will start to work on that information. First in our team study
on that information and gave assurance to that collect information is correct or not. After that
we will implement this information on project using Microsoft tools. Then developed
proposal and report on our project.
