Develop 3D Animation Object

Here are the steps to create a cup in 3D animation using Blender: 1. Add a cylinder object (Shift+A > Mesh > Cylinder) and scale it on the Z axis (S > Z > scale value) to make it taller and thinner like a cup. 2. Add a circle object (Shift+A > Mesh > Circle) and scale it (S) to make the diameter of the circle the same as the bottom of the cylinder. 3. Select the cylinder, then the circle, and press Ctrl+J to join them together. This will create the basic cup shape. 4. Add loop cuts (Ctrl+R) to the sides of the cup and move them inward

A Laboratory Manual For

Applied Multimedia Techniques (22024)

Practical No: 28
Title: Create Object in 3D Animation
Enrolment No: 2001160439 Name of Student: Mayuresh Dilip Kharmate
Practical Significance:
Any product, service or process can be visually represented through 3D animation. Real as well
as imaginary objects can be created, which can be far more visually appealing than the normal
images. For example, in manufacturing industry, the products still to be manufactured can be
created in 3D and visualized. The viewers can grasp the processes in a business more easily with
the help of 3D animation, at less amount of time. The 3D animations services consist of disparate
features well known in 3D Media, Web Media, Marketing Media, Mobile Media and
Outsourcing Media. The 3D animation services are one of the unforeseen methods not only for
an unwavering product or engagement in activity application but by the same token for a hall of
knowledge as a whole.

Relevant Course Outcome(s):

•Basic knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, sciences, and basic engineering to
solve the broad-based Information Technology related problems.
•Discipline knowledge: Apply Computer Programming knowledge to solve broad based
Information Technology related problems.
•Experiments and practice: Plan to perform experiments and practices to use the results to
solve broad-based Information Technology related problems.
•Engineering tools: Apply relevant Computer programming / electrical technologies and tools
with an understanding of the limitations.
•Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and
norms of the engineering practice.
•Life-long learning: Recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in
independent and life-long learning in the context of technological changes.

Practical Learning Outcomes (POs):

Develop 3D animation object.
Competency and Practical Skills:
This practical is expected to develop the following skills in you:
1. Select related Tools for Building 3D animation.
2. Identify shapes to be used in developing Object.
3. Create object using Shape.
4. Specify dimension of objects.
5. Check output and verify various properties/parameters of object created.

Result:
We learn to Create 3D Animation Object

Conclusion:
We able to Create 3D Animation f Object

Practical Related Questions

1. What is Animation?
ANS: Animation is a method in which figures are manipulated to appear as moving images.
In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets
to be photographed and exhibited on film. Today, most animations are made with computer-
generated imagery (CGI). Computer animation can be very detailed 3D animation, while 2D
computer animation (which may have the look of traditional animation) can be used for
stylistic reasons, low bandwidth, or faster real-time renderings. Other common animation
methods apply a stop motion technique to two and three-dimensional objects like paper
cutouts, puppets, or clay figures.
2. What are potential differences between 2D and 3D animation?
ANS: 2D animation comprises of characters or objects only in height and width. In other
words, in X- axis (horizontal dimension) and Y – axis (vertical dimension). 3D animation
comprises of objects in height, width, and depth. In other words, characters are going to be
more a realistic contrast to 2D characters.
3. List any 4 Universal Hotkeys with its application used in Blender.
 Ctrl+O – Open File.
 Ctrl+S – Save File.
 Ctrl+N – New File.
 Ctrl+Z – Undo.
 Ctrl+Shift+Z – Redo.
 Ctrl+Q – Quit.
 F1 – Help (context-sensitive)
 F2 – Rename Active Item.

Exercise:
1. Create a 3D animation to create cup in Blender.
