Project Report Format

- Project should provide viable and feasible solution to the problem identified.
- Project report should be of Minimum 40 to 50 pages.
- For standardization of the Project reports the following format should be strictly followed.
1. Page size: Trimmed A4.
2. Top Margin: 1.00 Inches.
3. Bottom Margin: 1.00 Inches.
4. Left Margin: 1.5 Inches.
5. Right Margin: 1.0 Inches.
6. Para Text: Font - Times New Roman; 12 point.
7. Line Spacing: 1.5 Lines.
8. Footer: 1) Page Numbers at Right aligned.(Don’t write Page No., put directly number).
2) College Name as S.I.E.T. (Poly.), Paniv. at left aligned.
9. Header: Title of Seminar/Project at right aligned.
10. Headings & running matter:-
1. Main title (Chapter Name): 16 point, Times new roman, boldface, center aligned.
2. Sub titles: 14 point, Times new roman, boldface.
3. Running matter: 12 Times new roman, paragraph 1.5 line spacing,
( Font Style :-
a) All the section headings should be left justified No indent, Font type:-Times New
Roman, font size:- 14 bold & Upper case, and appropriate numbering should be given
to the Section Heading. Ex. 1. INTRODUCTION
b) All the sub section headings should be left justified No indent, Font type:-Times New
Roman, font size:- 14 bold & Title case, and appropriate numbering should be given
to the Sub section Heading. Ex: 1.1 Recent Developments in the Pulse Tube
Refrigerators
c) All the sub sub section headings should be left justified No indent, Font type:-Times New
Roman, font size:- 14 bold & Sentence case and appropriate numbering should be
given to the sub sub sections. Ex: 1.1.1 Work reported by various research groups.
d) Body of text under Section, Sub section and Sub Sub section headings Egs:
All the body of the text should be both side justified, Font size 12, Times new
Roman. 1.5 line spacing, no indent. The new paragraphs in the body should start on
new line with 1.5 line spacing, no indent of font size 12.)
11. Certificate: All students should attach standard format.
- References :-
References should have the following format.
- For Books: “Title of Book”; Authors; Publisher; Edition; Page Numbers.
- For Papers: “Title of Paper”; Authors; Conference Details; Year.
Suggested framework for the project report:
The topics/ contents of the project report should be as follows:-
 Abstract
 Topic introduction/ Philosophy
 Literature Survey/ Methodology adopted
 Principle (aim objectives of the Project work)
 Data collection/ Design consideration/Basic Framework/Design / Drawing
 Manufacturing Processes and Process Sheets (if relevant)
 Assembly (if relevant)
 Performance / Calculations etc (If relevant)
 Costing
 Results and Discussion
 Conclusion
 Future Scope
 Bibliography/ References

Presentation / Demonstration:
All Group must present their Project individually in front of the faculties of department.
