Vietnam and its allies USSR, China along with the pivotal support of Viet Cong in South
Vietnam against its arch rivals United States and its allies like Philippine ,Australia and other
allies etc. It is to be remembered that North Vietnam had defeated French imperlism in 1954
to unify the country under one communist regime while South Vietnam naturally closed

the region and poured ammunition supplies to North with war strategist and advisors.
Despite a little gain by United states initially they built up their forces and hope to win the
war quickly however they are failed to understand the resistance on the otherside.US
engaged with search and destroy operations all along with furious air strikes and ground
forces.US dreamt of getting victory was fade to black when the domestic support for war
starts to falling.

Tet Offensive

south region. Because of North Vietnams upper hand the Laos was invaded by her. In
retaliation US bombed to Cambodia as North Vietnam used it as a supply route.US newly
President Richard Nixon in 1969 sought the war is demoralized by his own people all along
with opposition and he reduced recruitment. The US forces starts to withdraw in 1972. The
supplies of the weapons became limited. The Air strikes and bombardment declined. On
January 1973 all the US arm forces withdraw and the war was officially ended but the peace
accord were crashed prompt and the war begin for two more years until Phnom Phen fell to
Khmer Rouge on 17 of August 1975.North Vietnam capture Saigon and South Vietnam was
retreated and surrendered.
