PROPERTIES:
Chromium alloyed cast iron with high abrasion resistance.
To ensure the highest possible impact resistance, the structure has to be eutectic or slightly hypoeutectic,
with Fe-Cr-carbides in a martensitic matrix.
The composition limitation indicated below can be used as guidance to obtain a hypoeutectic or eutectic
structure.
The composition is well inside the limits stated in the alternative standards referred to.

It is recommended to keep the composition within this range to obtain an eutectic or hypoeutectic structure.
DELIVERY CONDITIONS:
To be delivered according to Instruction V 2821-xx.
When taking in new suppliers a sample sized 100x100x80 mm must be shipped to the RD-PD-Metallurgy
department for approval before a purchase order can be placed. The sample must be followed by
documentation stating chemical composition, hardness and heat treatment.
