Installation and settings
After you have downloaded the free trial and installed you will need to load up silent client
and type in your email address. Once you have done this you will have the program running
on your machine. Later I will show you how to get the other side of the program running on
the machine you wish to monitor.

The first thing to do when you load up the initial screen is get your fully
functioning software working to do this you will need to go to

Help – License Key – Then type in the details you provided whilst buying the license.
This will remove the trial and allow you full usage of the software.

You can now search what computers are on your local network and what
potential computers you can connect to. This is particularly useful if you
wish to connect to a PC in the next room for example. The software
automatically detects which PCs are on the network.

Go to Computer – Add New Computer – Click Search Computer. This will pull up a
list and add them to the left hand side giving you options. Do not be concerned if
silent manager does not find any computers, this is just what ever computer is connected
through the internet router you use.
 Now we are going to adjust some security settings. This is to make sure
you do not get caught monitoring by someone who is not supposed to
know.

Tools – Settings

In general click hide silent manager when minimized, this will close the software straight away if
someone walks into the room for example. You can also go to hidden mode and press hide now, but
be sure to jot down the secret key to get it back encase you forget.

Depending on your hard drive disk space you are now going to want to set the
record settings

This will take up more room on your hard drive, but the best advice is to set
everything to the maximum. This will give you better quality videos and also if you
are recording when you are out, silent manager can record up to 10 hours.

Ok your settings should now be complete.

Installing Silent Manager on Other Computers

So you now have the software set up and you’re PC or laptop and you’re ready to go. You
now need to install the software on the machine you are going to monitor. To do this you
install a different version to what you have already.

Go to

Click download the latest version at the top and download the software at step 2.

Now you need to install this on the other machine.

Your options
You have the password for the machine.

Put the installation on a USB stick, access the machine and install it. Test the other machine
from your Laptop or PC, by trying to connect; you may have to press Allow on the PC or
Laptop you want to monitor. The next time the PC islogged on,
you will then be able to connect silently. Nothing is displayed on the target PC.

You have the password for the machine, and computer name

You can install silent manager remotely without ever touching the computer.
Type in the credentials and click add computer, you will then be able to right click on that
machine and click install silent client remotely. You will be asked for some details and then
you can go ahead and install.

You do not have the password or PC Name and haven’t got a clue how to get it

Do not worry! We can still install the software without it.

Add any old computer if you have not got one in your list already, just make one up.

Right click on that computer and click install silent client via email.

If you get this message you will have to uninstall the software and reinstall again.
Unfortunately this is one of the bugs that haven’t been sorted up to now.

What should happen is silent manager makes an email attachment for you. It is generated
to what looks like an image file, but it’s actually an install.

You can then send this to your target and they install it themselves. The best thing about it
is, is that the person will click on it and nothing will happen, they just think it’s an error and
go about their day, meanwhile you have now have access to literally everything.
Techniques in which to get Silent Manager installed on
other computers

Ok this has been tried and tested. These methods do work.

During my research of the program I initially thought that silent manager will show on the target PC, it does not,
its silent like the name suggests.

Most people will not know the password, IP address or computer name of the computer
they wish to connect to, so I am going to focus on that a little.

If you use hotmail or msn, you will not be able to send the email attachment as it is. The way
I got around this problem was to right click on the attachment and ZIP it. You can then send
this as an email attachment and by MSN.

I recommend giving instructions if you want a third party to install this software for you but do not want to tell
them what it is. For example instuctions like this.

1. Open up
2. Double Click
3. Click allow

This gets around the problems of firewalls, as some computers ask the user to allow the
program to run. It will never show what the program is though, remember that!

How do I know if it’s installed?

You will know when it’s installed as silent manager will actually tell you. The next time you
log on to your PC or the target PClogs on, it will automatically detect it on the machine. You will then get a
message saying successful installation pop up on the screen detailing which computer that is
by its name. Now you need to go here:

Silent manager will give the installation a temp password. You can login with your details
and view what that was.

You will now have the computer on the list of computers you can connect to down the left
hand side. Try to connect with the existing password. Once connected you can then change
the password to a new one. You can do this for as many computers as you feel necessary.
Uninstalling Silent Client
The beautiful thing about silent client is that if you feel the job is done, you can uninstall the
software from your PC or laptop without ever having to touch that other computer.

When connected to that computer click remote software settings and uninstall.

Once connected to the Target

Due to silent managers versitility you can record and watch at the same time.

As you see below I am connected to a PC or laptop. I am given three options on the main
screen.

Watch or Record Webcam

View or Record Desktop
Iisten or Record Microphone.

Using silent manager it is possible to do all of these things at the same time. You can watch
whilst recording the target computer.

You will also know when you are connected as the little silent manager symbol in the
bottom right hand corner of your PCwill go green.

All files will be saved in MY DOCUMENTS– SILENT MANAGER RECORDINGS.

When watching a webcam you will get the screen above. With this you can change more
settingsof how the Webcam is viewed and recorded. Above are my recommended settings
for getting the best picture quality, but feel free to adjust the settings where applicable to
get the best picture for you.
Access the targets files
You can also target the stored files on that PC or laptop, download or upload files to
whichever hard drive you see fit.

On the main screen (whilst connected) you will see an option called remote files

Click this button and you are taken to that computers files. You can access pictures, videos,
music and pretty much any file that is stored on that computer. Just double click on the file
you wish to download and go to My Documents – Super Silent Recordings to access them.
Remember
Monitoring someone without their permission can be illegal in some countries. The software
was designed intially to gather evidence against a person who you suspect to be doing
something wrong or illegal. It has also been designed so you can monitor your computer or
access your files from anywhere in the world.
