customer perception towards fully electric vehicles in Bangalore

1) Age of the respondents.

Interpretation: From the above graph we can interpret that the


maximum number of respondents are from the age group 18-
25. In age group 26-35 we have 7.8% respondents and in age
group 36-45 and 45 above we have 2% respondents each.

Interpretation: From the above graph we can interpret that 52.9
respondents are male and 47.1% of the respondents are female.

Interpretation: From the above graph we can interpret that


90.2% of the respondents are willing to change to ec0-friendly
vehicles. And 9.8% respondents are not ready yet to change to
eco-friendly vehicles.

Interpretation: When asked, only 3 respondents own an


electric vehicle right now. So, this shows that not many
have an electric vehicle, and hence it is a slow process
for the shift to occur.

Interpretation: When asked if electric vehicles help in
improving the environment 94.1% of the responses were
YES. So, this shows that e-vehicles will be good for the
environment.

Interpretation: When asked if they considered owning


an e-vehicle an advantage in comparison to gasoline
vehicles 82% of the responses were YES. So, this shows
that the majority of the people do consider owning an e-
vehicle an advantage in comparison to gasoline-based
vehicles.

Interpretation: When asked if they think it's too early


for electric vehicles 52.9% of the responses recorded
were YES, and 47.1% recorded NO. So, this means that
only about an half of the people are ready to shift to e-
vehicles and the other half think it's too early.

Interpretation: When asked what is an affordable price
for an e-vehicle majority of them chose the price range
from 1- 5 lakhs, which means if the price is above 5

Interpretation: When asked what would be their reason to shift


to electric vehicles, the majority of them chose all the four
options i.e., affordability, convenience, durability, and social
awareness.
This shows that to shift to an e-vehicle their price must be
affordable, using it must be convenient and durable, and also
possess social awareness

10) Which one of the two is more financially feasible?

Interpretation: When asked which of the two is more financially


feasible 68.6% of them chose electric vehicles , this is because
of the rise in petrol prices which has a very big impact on the
people owning gasoline vehicles, as it is very difficult for them
to refuel their vehicles from time to time at such a high cost.
