PROPERTIES:
Unalloyed Carbon Steel castings partly wear resistance.
Suitable for surface hardening.

STANDARDS:
General requirements:
When reference to this MAT NO appears on FLS Drawing or FLS Parts List or in FLS Purchase Order the
data from the Primary Standard is used as acceptance criteria.

Specific deviations in requirements made in the FLS Parts List, the FLS Purchase Order or a FLS Instruction
always overrules this data sheet.

Alternatively accepted International Standards listed in this sheet may be used if the supplier’s
documentation covers at least the documentation required in the Primary Listed Standard. This means that
supplementary tests in some cases will be necessary.

Special conditions for Discs for Hammer Crushers: Minimum Tensile Strength shall be > 620 MPa, Minimum Yield Strength

DELIVERY CONDITIONS:
To be supplied in the normalised condition. The heat treatment shall be carried out at suitable temperatures
to conform the mechanical properties specified.
When delivered for discs for hammer crushers, special requirements for mechanical properties may require
quenching and tempering after normalising.

Special conditions for Discs for Hammer Crushers: Minimum Tensile Strength shall be 620 MPa, Minimum
Yield Stress shall be 390 Mpa, minimum Impact Energy shall be 14 J, hardness shall be in the range 170-
210 Brinell
